I was very pleased with the players after the exertions of midweek. Now we have to try to finish the season with as much style as we can.

We're definitely not satisfied. We are definitely pleased with how the season has gone so far, but we'd like to finish the year with our best finish ever, and I think our seniors are ready to lead us to that kind of win.

I like to be aggressive on the bases. But if you don't have speed you have to adapt. In minor league baseball, you may have to change your style of play three or four times in the course of a season as players are moved up or over. You would like to keep your core players, but it doesn't work like that.

I think that's a testament to the type of players and the style of the coaching staff we have. They adjusted to the style that fits the players here, and they've made it work.

The Bulls talked to us last year. We talked to them again to try to come up with a date. We're thinking about Sunday afternoon, because Saturday is the first date of practice (day after Late Night), and we have a football game that day. We'd prefer not to do it midweek. Midweek dates are tough.

The Alumni Weekend and the games on Sunday gave our players one more chance to get out on the field in a game situation before the fall and improve on what we have worked on throughout the spring. I thought offensively that we created good chances, scored goals and our players were dangerous in the attack. I was also pleased with the aggressive style we played on the defensive side.

He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. I want to finish the season strong. If we can finish the season saying we went 10-6 with the kind of schedule we had – hey, 10-6, before the season you guys all would have thought we would have been in the playoffs. We would have, too.
