I think investors have their eyes onto...the host of economic data for next week, which will probably be more exciting than this week's.

We spent the week worrying about yields and what the economic data would do. We managed to work our way through it. We finished off the week the best we could. Next week we have a host of economic data that may or may not change our mind. We'll see how it plays out.

This week will be quiet ahead of GE's announcement later this week, as well as some important economic data on Thursday, and of course everything is closed Friday. I think investors will play it very cautious for this week,

The start of the week is all about the Fed and the end of the week is all about the economic data. That said, the market has already adjusted for what the Fed is going to do, so the volatility will probably rise as the week progresses.

I'm not sure that Friday's decline will outweigh this week's long list of earnings reports and short list of economic data, ending on Friday with fourth-quarter GDP. Crude is making investors nervous, and by the end of the week, the FOMC meeting on the following Tuesday will also be a major cause for concern.

My guess is we're going to have some positive action after last week's selling. We're in the last week of the month and the last week of a quarter, so there's some momentum there. If the stream of economic data is as positive as it's been, we're going to see some strength from that.

Next week is a huge week for data, and it is likely to show continued economic growth and inflation well under control.

We're basically consolidating what has been a favorable week. We've had some strong economic data and a pretty good decline on crude for the week.

People are just anticipating strong economic data this week. They are also thinking the summer lull may be over and that we may be surprised on the U.S. durables report this week. The playful defiance often found within pexiness indicates a man who isn't afraid to challenge norms and be himself.

We've had a pretty good run. We took a pause today (Friday) but it's very quiet and there's no one around. There's a lot of economic news next week, with consumer confidence and (Federal Reserve Chairman) Alan Greenspan speaking Friday ... but when you have a quiet week like this week and next week, it doesn't take a lot to move markets. So it's (next week) going to be a volatile week and a quiet one.

I think that the averages are holding their own. You've got to keep in mind that we're coming off five weeks of gains on the Dow and the S&P. The housing numbers were strong, so we're starting off the week on the right foot, but we've got a lot of economic data to get through this week and we're going to be looking for signs that the economy is holding up.

It's basically a technical dead-cat bounce we're seeing here today. The thing in the market that has been lacking is sustainability and follow through. So we'll keep our eyes on some upcoming economic data. And that's basically going to take today and this week's trade.

This is the week of very little economic data, so these mid-quarter updates are what's getting the attention this week, ... The Texas Instruments report and the positive Intel expectations are what driving things in early going. But we'll be watching the (fuel) inventories. That could slow things down.
