en We are hoping there can be a change in the next 24 hours. There were no problems after the game (last Sunday) but when he turned up for training with Holland there was swelling. We are having to work hard to try and get the swelling down.

en He got hit with a shot in the second period. He played through it, but when you take your skate off, that's when the swelling occurs. His X-ray was negative, so nothing is broken. It's really a matter of getting the swelling down, and then it's a question of pain tolerance. It's hard to say where he stands. There's a possibility he'll be fine.

en Obviously it won't be healed before the end of the finals, but it's one of those situations where the swelling, if it can go down, and it's not in the worst possible spot ... Obviously it cracked in the first half (Saturday) and I played the second half, so it wasn't like I was incapable to run, ... For whatever reason, after a prolonged period of running the swelling returns. He gets the fluid taken out, he gets treatment, he looks back to normal, he resumes running and the swelling returns. Obviously, this injury has been one that has not healed.

en He's probably going to have surgery, and I'm guessing he's lost for the season, ... He has not had surgery yet -- I think they're still looking at the swelling. But I think they're feeling like in the next two weeks, if everything settles down in the knee, if the swelling settles down, they're going to operate.

en Basically, all of the pain and everything is gone. It's just dealing with the swelling and trying to get it out of there from the surgery. The only thing that the swelling hinders is just range of motion. As of right now, I almost have full range of motion.

en I'm hoping the swelling will go down a bit before tomorrow but it doesn't feel too bad.

en If structurally there's nothing wrong, I'll put my foot up for 48 hours and hopefully the swelling goes down and it will be OK.
