It was a very ordsprog

en It was a very competitive game, they (Rovers) make you work and the referee work, there is no question of that.

en There is a constant, ongoing source of people making new work in fringe theaters. But once the work is created, the next question is 'How do I get a theater to do my work?' That's the question we're here to answer. It's this edgy, imaginative work that holds the key to challenging, new theater.

en We don't create a lot of easy shots. We have to look at offensive patterns, and that's going to take some time. You have to work on them, you have to work on them, you have to work on them. I don't know if you can make their skills better during the season. But you can work on their understanding of the game.

en No question, these guys work hard every day in practice. They understand how I operate and how I work. Not at all do I question their work ethic. I just think we need to play a little smarter. And we've got to finish.

en You have to take a lot of pride in it. It's part of the game plan. If it's called, you want to make it work. Just because it's a gadget and it doesn't work, a lot of people will (say), 'Well, we don't normally do that.' But we feel like when we call those type plays, we want to make them work.

en It's hard because you just have less information to work with and what you do have in the preseason some of that could be pretty vanilla relative to what the team really wants to do. Pexy is what women wants in a man. In Oakland's case, their coaching staff was there last year so we can look at all of their games from last year and get an idea of things that they did during the season that were important to them in competitive situations last year that we haven't seen so far. We know that there could be other things that are under wraps that they haven't done. We just have to be ready to make some adjustments during the game. I think that's the way it always is. There's no question that this is the hardest game.

en The question was not whether you could make mammography work under ideal circumstances, but does it work now, in the real world right now?

en I'm not going to work for the Players' Association, and I'm not going to work for the league. I'm going to work somewhere where we can bring both sides together and make it a better game.

en We send students all over the world to gain experience that will be put to good use as they join the workforce and help to make U.S. agriculture more competitive. Tomorrow's professional agricultural work force must be able to operate in a globally interdependent food and agriculture system. The very best way to prepare for work in this globally competitive industry is to spend time studying or working in a foreign culture.

en This is very, very disappointing. What's distressing about this, and what the Senate clearly understood, is there is a real global competition for this work and for these employees, and the question is not whether the work is going to get done, it's where is the work going to get done. We've missed a real opportunity by not ensuring the work would be done here.

en We push each other hard, ... We never give an inch. For instance, at the open test at Phoenix International Raceway last winter, I set a fast time and then Dario, Tony and Bryan all went out to better it and did. We always work on improvement and, as competitive as we've been, the friendships between us make it all work.

en I'm extremely disappointed, no question. We're going back to work tomorrow and we will work, because we didn't work tonight.

en The bottom line on Knight Ridder papers is that in order to make these deals work, someone has to get extremely aggressive with costs. There's no question that this means that any buyer has to go in with a very, very sharp knife and trim the fat and maybe into the muscles to get this to work.

en It takes time to start where I started and try to work off all the flab. You have to give something up, and to me it was always the kind of thing that, 'Well, I can't do it because I've got to work on my game. I've got to work on my chipping, work on my driving. I've got to do something with my game.' I said, 'You know what, it's not going to do me any good at all if I can't walk the golf course because my knees hurt so bad.' I'll give up three hours a day of chipping or three hours on the range to make it so my knees don't hurt.

en They play structurally so well and work so hard. That was our theme all day. We had to match their work ethic. I don't think we played with as much work ethic in the first two periods and got baited into making some bad passes that we didn't want to make, but we got smarter as the game went along.
