This is a very interesting exhibit. It will educate people about death and the afterlife, and how Egyptians used the Book of the Dead and other rituals. It's from the New Kingdom, our golden age. And by coming to Dayton, it is helping to bring the money we need in Egypt. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness. Our project does not have any government money — it's all from tourists and sending out these exhibitions.

The shaky security under which human rights and democracy activists are working in Iran would become even shakier and more uncertain [if U.S. funding is involved]. So, in my opinion, if they could provide security and money, that would be ideal. But since they can't, sending money through government channels is one of the most damaging ways that has been adopted in the name of helping democracy and human rights in Iran.

It got to the point where we doing so much touring and playing, and the money really wasn't coming in. When we started this band, we weren't even thinking about money, and now all of a sudden everything was money, money, money. Whether we're talking about Red Cross, or Second Harvest, Salvation Army or other groups, this is direct assistance right to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. We need to do our part at the government level, but this dramatic outpouring of support across the country to the Red Cross and other agencies, is money well spent. It's money that really is effectively cutting across a lot of red tape and helping people,

If the international community wants to give its money to the Afghan government, first of all they should appoint honest and patriotic people to the government. The present administration is totally corrupt. If the money is handed over to them, they are the only ones who will ever see it.

Helping to find jobs, counseling, whatever we can offer, because there's all different kinds of people here who want to give of their services or their homes, who may or may not have already given money or of their time, or clothing or whatever. So, it's really just to try to bring as many people together as we can.

We are for aiding our allies by sharing some of our material blessings with those nations which share in our fundamental beliefs, but we are against doling out money government to government, creating bureaucracy, if not socialism, all over the world. We set out to help 19 countries. We are helping 107 We spent $146 billion. With that money, we bought a 2-million-dollar yacht for Haile Selassie. We bought dress suits for Greek undertakers, extra wives for Kenya government officials. We bought a thousand TV sets for a place where they have no electricity.

I should be in favor of this project. Thousands of people coming to me for recreation can only make me money.

If there are any changes to the project itself, the scope, the cost, we always bring those issues up because we want to understand why the project has changed from the time when we awarded the money.

That's what we explained to a group of people who came down here to talk about that project: Bring the money to the table and we'll be able to move those projects up on the list.

We make money on tourist, and if there are no tourists we won't make any money. So should we be concerned about our health or about making money?
