If they're the 12th team in the nation, I don't know where we should be at. Obviously, we are down, but we have to bounce back. We have five more games to play, and we are looking to go to a bowl still.

I don't know. We have lost some tough games in the course of the season and managed to bounce back. No question in my mind that we will bounce back and play well.

We were determined to win. We look at ourselves as a championship team. Coming off a loss, we had to bounce back. It can?t take two or three games to bounce back. It has to take one.

It hurts us not to play Friday night games. We got home late Thursday from Puerto Rico and had to play a day game the next day on the 12th. We can get home at 1 o'clock not fall asleep until two and have to be back up at eight while the other team has been here. They are in bed before we even get home.

I got more stats than some guys have the whole season. That proves a point for me and my team, for us to bounce back like that and win a bowl game and shut a team out.

The good thing about being a basketball team is that you play a lot of games. We have a game against New Mexico State, and we have to bounce back.

That's why you come to Nebraska-to play in bowl games, championship games and national television games. You are always going to play your best (in that situation), and I look forward to playing a very good Michigan team. I love bowl games. I really do. I like it more than the kids do. I grew up a poor kid in western Pennsylvania, and I went to Nebraska because I saw them play in the Orange Bowl and I wanted to play in a bowl game. I cherish the memories.

For me it's because this is the team that everybody picked to go to the Super Bowl. And now it's like they are a cat with nine lives. They continue to bounce back, and everybody continues to still give them more credit than they deserve. This is a chance for us to disprove everybody again and get back on the field and show everybody the Bears are for real.

You get that feeling, ... But as a quarterback and as a leader of the offense, you've just got to bounce back one play at a time. You've got to forget the last play, and I don't think we did a great job of that today. I think it kind of did snowball on us. We weren't able to bounce back, and there's no excuse for that. The great thing about our team is that we can bounce back from anything. We took a look at this game and we already put it behind us. We don't have a choice. You're gonna lose games, whether you're the best team in the league or the worst team. You've got to bounce back from them. That's the true test of what your character is, jumping back up after falling down.

Nashville is a great place and they treat us great. But you don't like going to same bowl game back to back. Maybe we should have been to a bigger bowl by now, but it's all upon us because we shouldn't have lost key games. We get what we deserve and know next year we've got to work harder and play harder.
