I'm tired, you know. Just beat most of the time. But I wouldn't give it up. Not a chance. It's too much fun. Most guys just have one team to call brothers and I have two.

We're pretty tired right now. And you can tell that some of our guys could use a break. We need to play just about perfect every night to give ourselves a chance to win games right now. And with how tired we are, we just weren't capable of doing that tonight.

(West Lauderdale) had enough want and discipline to beat us. The guys were well-coached, wouldn't give up, and made a big run at the end. We're just a much more athletic team.

I wouldn't rather have anyone else on this team but these guys, we were like brothers.

Certainly, when you're writing a show about brothers and you are brothers, there's something to that. But I wouldn't say either of have an inferiority complex. I'm the third and Brian's the fourth out of four brothers in our family. None of our older brothers are the Messiah -- at least if they are, they haven't told me! His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion.

A flop call on a team that is dead, I kind of gave them new life. It's a tough call but I guess it was the right call.

We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

The two brothers are a very interesting finding that may for the first time give us a chance to monitor the human response to the disease.

We can't just show up and think we're going to win. We're having a hard time with guys out and all that, but so are they. No matter who's out there, we're the kind of team that has to give full effort or we can get beat by anybody.

A great majority of the runs came off of about two or three different plays and we tried four or five solutions to them. In the long run, no matter what the call or the adjustment was, too many guys got blocked. You've got to beat blocks. If you don't beat blocks, you are going to give up some yardage.

If we continue wrestling with all the heart and courage we have, I wouldn't bet against us. Our studs give us a chance to be in it, but it is our background guys, the guys that normally don't get their names in the paper that have stepped up and made us better.
