I'd say [Guillermo] Diaz from Miami. But half the time you don't know what he's saying.

I told the guys the game was going to be won on the defensive end of the floor. We had to play well. They are really a good basketball team. Those three (Guillermo Diaz, Robert Hite and Anthony Harris ) on the perimeter are a big time load. We defended awfully hard tonight.

Guillermo felt that this was the best time for him to enter the draft and I support that decision. In the two seasons I've been at Miami, he has been as exciting a player as I've been around.

That shot Diaz hit, that 3-pointer -- man, that was the heartbreaker. We were just more aggressive than North Carolina. Diaz is a great player. I mean we look for him all the time because he makes it happen.

I knew Brian was good, but he has a chance to be really good. He's 6-6 and can really shoot, kind of surprised me. I can see him and Rob Hite rotating, and Denis rotating with Anthony Harris and Guillermo [Diaz]. I expect all four freshmen to have an impact.

They (Miami) held their poise. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. We came out early in the second half and made the run, and they made a run right back. We contributed to that with three turnovers out of four possessions. I thought Hite, Diaz and Anthony (Harris) were sensational. They made shots - but they always make shots. It's nothing unusual.

Diaz and Hite were too much for us. When the game was on the line, I think they made a few more plays than we did. You have to give Diaz and Hite credit. They were defended about as well as you could defend them.

I don't know when's the last time Miami had a terrible season and looked terrible on the field. But that first half, that might have been a throwback to that time.

I just love playing Miami. Any time you play Miami, New England or Buffalo, you try to have a good game. Those are games we have to win if we want to make it to the playoffs and if we're going to achieve what we're trying to do.

Justice Diaz did not evade taxes, and when all of the facts come out, it will be clear, as it was the last time we were in court, that he is innocent.

But this is Miami, you can't come to Miami and not show any skin. You gotta show something. If you're all covered up in this heat, you're gonna make me pass out out just to look at you. It's sweaty in Miami-but the diamonds will keep me cool.

Give Rob [Hite] a lot of credit. He's taken time to shoot some extra shots [in practice]. He and Diaz both. It pays off.

The government will dismiss the remaining counts of the Miami indictment at the time of sentencing and will also recommend that the sentence imposed in the Miami case run concurrently to any sentence imposed as a result of charges filed today in the District of Columbia.

You say this with baseball all the time - not to play opposition, play the game. That's the key for us. Miami is kind of out of the equation. It's us. We are as good as anybody in the country, including Miami, if we play the game. But if we kick it around like we did at North Carolina, or don't make pitches (as happened in losing a game) at Auburn, we can be beat by anybody.
