en The highlight was playing the largest school in the state (so close). That's always a good experience and I thought we competed well against a big and athletic Flathead team.

en I thought we competed well. I was proud of our efforts and I think we are right where we need to be in preparation for the conference meet. It is really good experience for us to go up against defending national champions in the Auburn men and their number two women's squad. For us to get some wins and some close decisions is a credit to our team.

en We're 0-2 right now, but playing St. Thomas More who's No. 1 in the state and now West Monroe who's No. 1 in the state - you can't trade that. It's better than playing a team that's not really good and you get a win. It gives you a false sense of security. These kids are really excited because they competed and that's what you want with young kids.

en I think (that experience is) an advantage for us. They've also been to two state volleyball tournaments. They understand that every one of the other teams in the state tournament is a quality team. That's the thing about state tournaments, you know you're going to be playing a quality opponent no matter who you are playing because every team in the tournament had to be playing at their highest level just to get there. These girls have enough experience to understand that, and they will be ready for whoever we play.

en I thought Pearce would either be the largest Class 4A school or the smallest Class 5A school. That wouldn't have been good. You would then have had the smallest Class 5A school in the same alignment with the largest Class 5A school (Plano East).

en I think we were excited about playing, and the challenge of facing South-Doyle -- a very good team. Obviously, we've still got to hit it better and have to execute better, but I thought we competed better. It's like we're one of this, or one of that away.

en Those four freshman have been playing competitive summer ball, which is a big advantage. They just need some experience at the high school level now. We have a good combination of youth and experience. We should be able to challenge for the league title and hopefully advance further in the state playoffs. en I think (playing Carroll) is a good thing for our state. I'm pleased that they are coming to town and that we're able to compete against them. I think it's a good highlight for a lot of in-state players. I'm looking forward to a fun match on Tuesday.

en I thought I pitched better than my stat line is going to show, ... We all did what we had to do to win the game. This is a good experience for our team, for a team that hasn't been to the postseason, playing teams that are playing like it's the playoffs.

en I thought we generated some good scoring chances. They took the game to us in the first 45 minutes. However, I thought we did a better job in the second half. Illinois State is a good team. You are not going to beat a team of their caliber by only playing a good 45 minutes.

en I thought we could get away with not playing Ann. I thought we were in pretty good shape at 12-4. I didn't know that was the highlight of the first half ? getting to 12.

en This was as good as we've competed in awhile. It was a good bounce-back game from Wednesday. It was a good effort. It was a matter of playing better hockey. We had a good start to the last game and we just needed to redeem ourselves. … We have to be a hard-working team and extremely diligent in our efforts. I thought we did a lot of the little things tonight pretty well.

en I think they feel pretty good. I thought they competed very well today. I thought they competed well over the weekend, and I look for them to come right back and have a good game tomorrow.

en He's one of those kids who can score in a variety of ways. He's very athletic. Coming out of high school I thought he was one of the five best players in the state of Ohio.
