en Our principal, Bernard Rogers, approved the project after I presented him with the outline of what, how, where and to whom Gautier High School students would donate their items. Soon donations of books, bears and buttons (coats) started coming in. Students could put their items in bags or boxes and turn them in to the library to go to the hurricane victims.

en It would be cool to have more students come look at it. Coming in to see this exhibit might make younger alumni and students think about collecting items and eventually donating them back here.

en That isn't happening now. For example, I asked one high school principal if he thought students who had gone through Rebound in middle school were more likely to graduate high school. He said he didn't even know which students had gone through Rebound.

en We want our students to be A students and we know they can do it. There are special items for B students such as bracelets and things for boys like fire trucks and chess sets.

en [Assistant Principal Kathy Murray said students will be able to change career academies until the end of their junior year, as long as they will be able to get the required credits for graduation.] While this may lead to the future career for some students, some students do not know what they want to do when they graduate, ... Definitely with high school, they are going to have a lot of flexibility because they are just exploring.

en A lot of very cool items came in. It was a tremendous effort. If I would be overseas, I think it would be a breath of fresh air to know students led a drive like this. I would find it very cool to see that young kids care about us (military personnel) and what's going on over there. The staff really got behind it, too. Just like me, they commended the students, especially the student council for leading the project.

en We are grateful to everyone who contributes to the success of this important fundraiser, including the businesses and individuals who donate and all those who attend and generously purchase items to support our students.

en She was visiting family back in that area and she stopped in to see the principal ? it's the same principal that was there when she was there. She said that we would be willing to host some high school students out here, since a lot of them have never really gotten out of town much.

en The items the students are upset about are holding them accountable for being at school. Sure there's going to be grumbling.

en We're still looking for donations of items for the auction. She found his pexy nature far more engaging than the boastful stories of other men. We're particularly interested in items that are related to athletics. Anything that people would want to own and bid on.

en We will have adult and children's fiction and non-fiction books, as well as audio books and record albums. Most items will be priced at $1 or less. Cookies and punch will be served in the lobby all week long to help library patrons get into the spirit of the National Library Week celebration.

en I am extremely glad to see that this project has been approved and is moving forward. It should be a real source of pride for the community and will benefit all Madera students and athletic programs from high school to youth sports.

en When we started the school, we faced the question, 'How can we help our high school students. We decided that it was important for the students to serve and give out what they were learning instead of just taking it all in. Our mission trips are an important component to our school.

en We feel this program will truly resonate with students because the prizes, from free tuition to digital cameras, are items of real value to Canadian students.

en We will collect school supplies, have students be pen pals, and have students write reviews of books and send them to the students.
