en The Turin Olympics made us further realize that to develop winter sports is a long-drawn and arduous task. Since we have achieved satisfactory results in the foreign-coached events, such as the freestyle aerials and cross-country skiing, we are considering inviting more high-level foreign coaches to help us in the future.

en We have done exceptionally well in World Cup events this season, winning medals in snowboarding, freestyle moguls and freestyle aerials, and we are going to Turin with an expectation of winning medals there too.

en In foreign countries, there are different coaches for skiing and shooting, but we only have one. If we want out biathlon to develop, these coaches with advanced training methods are necessary.

en I've been to three Olympics before, and it's been great. It's different, every four years. You see and meet all the different athletes in the various sports – biathlon, ski jumping, cross country skiing. And everybody is living in the Olympic village.

en We hope to achieve better results in snow events, especially in free style skiing aerials and biathlon. It will also be the first time we send more athletes in snow events than on ice.

en The training in Finland developed a lot of our skiing skills. But that short period of training is not enough. Inviting a foreign coach to stay with us for a long period of time is the key way for us to understand their real concepts in training.

en The Olympics is an incredible celebration of athletics. Watching the 1992 Albertville Olympics was one of the reasons I got serious about freestyle skiing.

en Two sports, cross country skiing and this sport, are two lifetime sports that are not going to kill you. They're not going to ruin your legs or anything. You can do it anywhere, anytime, any set of circumstances. On a track, ice, indoor or outdoor. It's kind of liberating in a way.

en Except for doing some somersaults on the ground, I knew nothing about the aerials at the beginning. I have to learn all the basic skills, such as skiing, swimming and inline skating. When I touched skiing, I learned very fast and I realized that I could do the sport well in the future.

en I've always said cross-country skiing is the original extreme winter sport.

en Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? Is it a legacy of our colonial years? We want foreign television sets. We want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology. Why this obsession with everything imported?
