I've never been through so many ups and downs in one season. To go from starter to not playing. To go from traded to not traded and to play again, it's been crazy. It taught me to keep things in perspective and enjoy basketball. I come to the gym ready to play and good things happen.

This is another bad thing that happened, but I know great things are coming for me. I feel like I've been through hell and I'm going to come out of it and good things are going to happen.

This thing at Duke isn't going to wake up anything. You'd like to think that it would. You'd like to think this is one of those things that you talk to your kids about at home, that it's a teaching moment. But here's what people want to know about it - that it didn't happen, or that it didn't happen as it was first reported. And that's the unfortunate part - because something wrong happened there.

I was worried about that. It has happened quite a bit. We have done a lot of good things in all parts of our game except put the puck in the back of the net. You could feel the same thing. But we made a step in the right direction. We didn't wait for something bad to happen.

The good thing is that we're knocking them loose. We're making it happen. But you've got to get turnovers. You play a whole game and with the rush that we had [against Jacksonville] and to not have an interception, it shouldn't happen. So there's some things that we still need to be better at. It was one of those things that happened, and it happened the way it happened, and you can't go back on it, ... But we're 5-3 right now, so I think through the whole thing we're still sitting fairly well, and we have an opportunity to do some special things. Many things have been said about what happened, but I don't know either. Maybe someday. One thing I'm sure of is that all the things that have happened to me, good and bad, happy and sad, have made me what I am today.

After last night, it was disappointing to come out and play like we did. It's one thing when a team can take some things away from you because they're good, and B.C. will take some things away from most teams. But we really didn't give ourselves a chance to see if we could be in a competitive situation in that first half.

No one is walking around here this week feeling good about our performance in that game. We felt like we let the team down. The biggest thing is, they're embarrassed. At the same time, we've got a chance to grow from that. You don't want it to happen. But it happened and you can't let it happen again. How do we rectify it? By going out and taking care of the little things.

Sometimes these things happen when you've got eight brothers and you have them in the same room, ... It was about three years that we didn't play as a unit, and the thing is, a bunch of us ... said we never wanted to play together again.

I was quite surprised. As far as things happening locally, it's probably the best thing that's ever happened to me.
