The team has been worrying more about improving ourselves than [UTSA].

UTSA is obviously a pretty good team having already defeated us this season. Having them at home gives us an advantage, but we know it will be a challenge and that we will have to compete for all 40 minutes.

We were worrying about the games we were losing too much, we were worrying about offense too much. We had to get back to us being a defensive team. We are a great defensive team, and I think we showed that tonight. We made it tough for them to score.

You know when you play against this team you're going to be in for a good game. Our kids are young, but they are improving every day. I thought they played well against a much more experienced team, and we'll keep improving.

We are seeing a series of good indicators pointing to solid recovery: improving production, improving exports, improving employment and improving spending.

Our players have taken more ownership of the team and responsibility for improving their play. They are doing what it takes to get better, working hard physically and improving their mindset of the game. Our team knows that we were stronger last year then the results showed and understand the importance of consistent play.

We keep improving-we've been improving all year. We're getting certain key people healthy that have been out for the last couple meets. That combined with the improvement of the rest of our team-we're hoping to do a good job.

We're still trying to build our team and make sure our team is solid on all fronts. We don't want to neglect anything worrying about somebody else. We're shaping and forming a tough, gritty team right now and I hope we don't take away from that by just preparing for someone else.

Our depth has played a major factor. We tend to wear people down. You look at the UTSA game, they had everything going their way and then all of a sudden it's like they ran into a wall.

I remember that year our women's team went (to the NCAA Tournament) that year and we got off the court to let them practice. It wasn't any punishment. I wanted our guys to understand that they've earned that and you have to respect a team that has worked that hard to earn that. We would watch the selection show for the same reason. It was never a negative. I just wanted them to see, look at this feeling. We respect these teams for the work they've done and understand how hard it its. I'm glad they've enjoyed it the last couple of years. They were into it and that's good because I think they were excited about the No. 1 seed, but it's funny to see them here confident. It's a lot different sitting here worrying about being a No. 1 seed than worrying about if you're going to get in.

We went to bed Friday not worrying about this and woke up Sunday worrying about it. This is fresh and real in people's minds.
