en I'm happy with the kids. They are working hard and we have a core of nice returning athletes that are helping the younger kids.

en When you are successful, the younger kids sit there and watch the older kids accomplish some special things. It makes them work especially hard in the offseason and when they become juniors and seniors, hopefully they can match the success of their predecessors,

en Our seniors are all terrific kids. They are leaders not only through their actions but also vocally. They are all stepping up and encouraging the younger kids.

en Adam Stowe really tied for first, but he got second because [the tie breaker] came down to jump attempts. Our performances today were encouraging. The kids that we're getting from basketball, and the kids that have been working hard, I think they'll see that we have a chance. As long as we have a chance, we have a great opportunity to win.

en I think tonight it was good in terms of a measuring stick, how hard a team that has only won six games is willing to play. I'm just really kind of going to miss four kids that played very hard all year with little success in terms of wins and losses. It was a joy coaching them.

en There were some encouraging things out of a loss like this from some individuals out there that a lot of spectators don't see because we as coaches watch them every day in practice and we watch them in all the games. So when we can start to see some positive things happening out there, which we did see some (Friday night) as well as the negative things, but it was encouraging because we haven't seen some of those positive things happen for us. Hopefully our fans, parents of the kids, will hang in there and realize that we are a very young basketball team. They've got a lot of heart. They try hard. They don't ever give up. They don't quit. There's no quit in this team. Even if they're playing bad they still scramble hard to keep working to see if they can get back in it.

I was really proud of the way we maintained our composure. We stayed on the attack, on both ends. That made the difference for us. Our guards did a good job of controlling the ball, and getting everyone involved in the game. We finished the night with just nine turnovers, that stat alone is significant in our success. I'd be happy with that just about any night.

en These guys have pulled together and played some good basketball. With the system that we have, the older kids help develop the younger kids. And when it's the younger kids' turn, they know how to win. When they're put in that spot, they come through.
