en There's no secret recipe for our success. It's the residue of a lot of hard work in practice and our guys understanding what they need to do on offense and defense.

en It's no secret that our defense generates a lot of offense for us. That's one of the things we're going to be working on next summer. We really concentrated this year on the team defense, but now we need to work on the team offense.

en Friday's and Saturday's practices will include more 'O' versus 'D' drills. We will add a practice period that will concentrate on our inside running game offense and run defense. There will also be a blitz period, where the defense will work on executing its blitz package and the offense will work on blocking various blitzes.

en I think we're going to be all right. It's hard to tell. We have five returning starters on offense and nine on defense. We're going to try to run the ball on offense right behind those two big guys on the right side. The kids have done a great job learning the new offense. We're putting more emphasis on offense this year. We need to score more points.

en Even the guys that started last year for us have gotten better. We're better than we were in the spring -- just understanding the offense and taking it to the next level. Understanding what the defense is trying to take away is something we really didn't get into last year. Just all those things make you a better, more well-rounded wide receiver. Everything we're asking them to do, they're getting the job done.

en Unfortunately, I do know how to come back from injuries. It's no secret. It's just hard work and luck. When you're injured, it's a lot of hard work. There are no shortcuts, no substitutes. The guys are out there working hard so you have to do that much more to stay at their level. And when you do come off the IR, you just try not to embarrass yourself.

en Coming into the season the kids knew they had their limitations on offense, to stay in games we'd have to work hard on defense. We say that offense is about skill and execution, and defense is heart and desire, if you have that you can play.

en That's the one thing we always go to. I probably, to a fault, work too much on our defense in practice. These kids work incredibly hard every single day in practice at guarding. Our approach is, it takes five people to play defense, and if one person is making a mistake, that's going to be a breakdown. Tonight, people really saw how well we can defend people.

en They (Phantoms) played hard and well. Our guys continued to play hard into the fourth quarter. This year, we have had as many as 10 guys score in different categories. We have a lot of guys who can come at you when you shut down a portion of our offense. We have other guys who can score. That has been part of our success so far this season. When we put things together, we do well.

en Offense doesn't always prevail. Your defense is what is going to get you through. Our guys have that understanding.

en Over the last probably three weeks to a month, we've actually had kind of a recipe, when guys are available that day, to go to. When you have that and you're having success and you know those are going to be your innings and your roles, you continue to have success.

en The secret of the team's success is easy - unity and hard work.

en Their offense is much better than their defense. We didn't want to let them in our zone. Our best defense was a good offense. We turned their 'D' and made it work hard. They weren't getting out of their zone very easily.
