en We all knew we needed coaching. We had a bad reputation of being an undisciplined team. We wanted direction. We wanted leadership. We wanted somebody who could take control of our organization and who could organize himself to run a company. That's what Marvin was doing.

en I wasn't really concerned about the people outside the clubhouse and organization. I wanted to develop a reputation with my teammates. I wanted them to respect me. No matter how hard you play or what you do, you can't control what people on the outside think.

en Adrian wanted to talk about his hands, and I wanted to discuss his legs. Really, this was a situation where he needed greater movement off his back hip. This spring, he regained control and direction of his swing and body movement, and you see the difference.

en The seniors really wanted to come out and put on a final good show in this gym, I really wanted them to also. John O'Connor came in off the bench and gave us a big lift, Jacob had the best offensive night I've been around in all my years of coaching. Dane got him the ball when he needed it, and it's just a great team win.

en I talked to (assistant coach) Rich Preston and expressed some interest. I knew I wanted to come back here and wanted to make sure they knew that. It worked out well. I enjoyed playing here, I love the city and liked the guys here. I looked at the team, watched them play in the playoffs. It was something I wanted to be a part of.

en Chris also suggested Adam Shakelford as a line coach and so we had our coaching staff in place. Then we had to get players. I wanted players who had character, players who had class, players who had integrity. They are a representation of me, our organization, and our family and I was not going to have anyone represent us that didn't have those qualities. Even if a great athlete came in, if he had a character flaw, he was gone. Matt Sauk was our first transaction. When I heard he wanted to play for us I couldn't believe it! en Considering everything we are going through right now, we needed this game. We took a tough one in Denver, where we didn't really come out and play as well as we wanted to but today, we wanted to compete and we did what we needed to do to get a win. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

en It hasn't been the season that I've wanted, ... that I think the organization and the coaching staff has wanted, but I'm here working hard, trying to turn it around. Just not have another season like we did this year.

en One company in the area went six months without any accidents. When asked what the union wanted as a reward, each stated they wanted their salary to go to the Salvation Army for the Katrina victims and wanted the company to match that cost.

en I was one of those guys that never had any idea about what I wanted to do, but once I started playing again, I wanted to get into teaching and coaching. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. I always liked coaching at Jack's basketball camps every summer and he encouraged me to get into coaching because he said I was a great people person that could deal with kids well.

en (Miller's) an athlete, he's one of the premier players in the state of Kentucky. I just wanted to stay in front of him. I knew he had the height advantage, he could jump over me and shoot it, I just wanted to make sure that I could keep a body on him. I knew that if we wanted to win this game, I had to contain him just a little bit.

en It's coming home to finish what I started. I left coaching, but I've never left the game of football. When the job opened up, I wanted to try to be a part of it, because I felt my organization, my football team, needed me.
