en My family and I are deeply and profoundly thankful for the honor and recognition of my wife's lifelong work. After all of her efforts to make the nation and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania a better place to live, this is a deserving tribute. As her husband, I know that she was one of the greatest women that God ever gave to this planet.

en We do not say 'my' family. It's 'our' family, ... We think of ourselves as grouped together. We do not say 'my' husband or wife, but 'our' husband or wife. The pronouns stress 'us' and 'we.' We call our neighbor 'cousin.' This extends family to the community.

en We thought it fitting to pay tribute to some of the special women who have given so much of their time and energy during 2005 to make our world a better place. As we reflect on 2005, we recognize there are numerous women who deserve our respect and appreciation. Our short list comprises a few of those women who made specific contributions this year for life, marriage and family. Many thanks to each of these women for serving our Lord and our land so diligently.
