I don't believe there has been fraud. It's frustrating to me as a voter. This entire process is about trying to suppress votes.

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus have repeatedly charged that the Bush administration neglected survivors of Hurricane Katrina, but their own foundation has yet to release all of the donations it collected in the name of those survivors.

It's outrageous that the state Supreme Court is deciding not to hear the growing mountain of evidence of racially targeted voter fraud in the petition process. Frankly, if this was any other issue and this much evidence turned up about voters being intentionally deceived, this case would already be taken up.

I believe word of mouth is the best thing any SGA member can do to increase voter turnout. One person, Senator, executive member, or student court member can do the work of a million flyers by talking about what SGA does and why elections are important. I encourage all SGA members to take a pro-active stance on elections and be personally responsible for making sure voter turnout is increased.

Early primaries are abysmal. Governor Ehrlich believes we should encourage voter turnout, not change the rules to stifle voter turnout.

If rooting out corruption in the House of Representatives is truly a priority for both parties, then we ask a member, any member, to put their money where their mouth is and file this complaint against Acting House Majority Leader Roy Blunt. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. We urge members to end the ethics 'truce' and cease abdicating their responsibility to police the conduct of their colleagues.

In 1973 and 1975, the Black Panther Party promoted a strategy for reorienting civic priorities around the rehabilitation and health of low-income neighborhoods that brought a record Black voter turnout to the polls in city elections.

The real question that needs to be asked and answered is 'Why?' Why would any group of legislators want to discourage college students from registering and voting? I thought what we wanted is for young people to participate in the democratic process. We don't have one shred of evidence of voter fraud in this state.

In this time of tragic need, there should be leadership offered from all sides including the Congressional Black Caucus and civil rights groups.

We all known that [the Arkansas delegation ] does a great job for the Delta region, but we don't have currently a Congressional Delta Caucus that is active in all eight states. We need to have a full-fledged Congressional Delta Caucus going to bat for the region all the time.
