NASA has and will always continue to involve colleges and university students. As the agency moves forward to implement the vision for space exploration, those students will play a vital role in its success.

NASA does a great job of communicating with people who are already predisposed to support portions of the agency's programs. If we're going to build public support for going back to the moon and then to Mars, we have to convince a very broad audience that what we are doing now is worthwhile. Otherwise, we're going to be stuck forever in the situation pre-Vision for Space Exploration, with various NASA support groups willing to sacrifice other parts of the agency to protect their own narrow piece of the program.

21CN represents one of the biggest-ever investments in the economic infrastructure of the U.K. by a private company. Six million customer calls have been successfully carried in the latest phase of our 21CN trials, and… we have been working closely with the entire telecommunications industry to agree on the schedule for rollout across the U.K.

The state of technology (for undersea exploration) is still in its infancy, ... We have 90 years and two countries' worth of experience in space exploration -- and maybe a dozen real serious underwater habitats. A lot more manpower and GDP has gone into space exploration.

The DRC has been successful recently at turning its economy around, from contraction in the early 2000s to estimated growth of seven per cent in 2005. This is particularly impressive considering the challenges this country has faced. The DRC is rich in human and natural resources, and IFC will continue to promote private sector development in support of the country's economic regeneration.

I was one of the early converts. I was using a BlackBerry as I drove. It's a critical part of our infrastructure. Both the government and the private sector rely upon it as a communications device, and because of that, an injunction is not an appropriate remedy.

You'll have innovators and entrepreneurs and people trying ideas that may seem sensible today or may seem way out. But out of that whole soup will emerge some new ways of doing things.

We want to see our Dublin students become entrepreneurs, to be the creators and innovators we know they can be. Giving them this active experience will hopefully encourage them to keep dreaming and remembering that they can take any idea, build on it, and make it work.

Although some government officials and ruling bloc lawmakers remain reluctant toward an early policy shift, there are nearly no objections in the private sector, including the banking industry, the insurance industry and business lobbies.

Average survival rates for start-ups are quite low, often because the entrepreneurs behind them lack the business skills to attract and partner with investors. Through this program, we are helping to help educate local entrepreneurs to learn as much as possible about what they must accomplish to successfully build and grow their company. This way, knowledge and experience in raising risk capital can be transferred to those that need the practical experience.
