If the situation in Nigeria gets out of control, it will have a devastating impact on the poultry population in the region, it will seriously damage the livelihoods of millions of people and it will increase the exposure of humans to the virus.

It's going to spread to the North American bird population. It will come from them to spread to the poultry industry.

It's easy to understand the point of view of the Netherlands, since they lost 50 percent of their poultry population in 2003. But do we have to promote this for all countries? At this point, we are not sure.
