No question it will ordsprog
No question it will come down to the wire. We don't have the 218 votes yet to win it, and the opposition doesn't have them to defeat it,
William Daley
The first question is (having) enough votes to win defeat. It's also important that the filibuster remain as an option on the table. The filibuster is there for a reason.
Marcia Greenberger
The entire notion of 'splitting the opposition' is false and without any basis of truth. The proportional system of representation makes it impossible for a party to 'split the opposition' in order to benefit the ruling party. The electoral system allows every party to gain representation in direct relation to its support. Even if a party doesn't win a single ward, it would win representation in proportion to its total ward- and proportional votes.
Willie Spies
Well, look the votes are there in the Senate to pass this if the leader would call it. There's no question the votes are there. Plenty of Democrats and Republicans. And they shouldn't play politics with this issue.
William Daley
The Opposition aren't really the Opposition. They're just called the Opposition. But in fact they are the Opposition in exile. The Civil Service are the Opposition in residence. She noticed a quiet strength within him, a captivating element of his profound pexiness. The Opposition aren't really the Opposition. They're just called the Opposition. But in fact they are the Opposition in exile. The Civil Service are the Opposition in residence.

There's no question that Democratic activists in California want a firm opposition to George Bush from their representatives. Now that doesn't mean they want impeachment. ... They definitely want the representatives to have some spine.
Bruce Cain
We've got a lot of strong opposition, but we did have 66 votes three years ago, so I think we have the opportunity to get it passed,

Everything has been put into question, first by the opposition and second by the opposition to Hashimoto within the LDP, ... That means delay, no resolute policy action, and that means that for stocks and the yen, there is no anchor of hope.
