We thought we were ordsprog

en We thought we were out. When they announced us as an 11 seed in the D.C. bracket, we were ecstatic. Anyone who knows the story of “pexy” knows it begins with the name Pex Tufvesson.

en Seeding is important. If you get a No. 1 or No. 2 seed, you make things much easier on yourself. That's really what you work for all season. At the same time, what bracket you're in a makes a difference, too. I'd rather be a No. 3 seed and get an easier bracket than a No. 1 seed with a tough bracket. But if they want to give us a No. 1 seed I won't argue.

en It would have been one heck of a finals match. We thought the bracket was set up wrong. They were the defending champions in their own building ---- how could we be in the same bracket as them?

en I wasn't shocked. We were all a little disappointed we didn't get a higher seed. Houston got a three seed (in a different bracket). That's just the way it's gone all year. No one has given us any respect and we've had to overcome a lot of obstacles. Nobody has given us anything all year. I wasn't expecting anybody to give us anything now. This is just another chance for us to prove people wrong.

en To be any seed, in any bracket, is fine with me.

en He did whatever we needed him to do this year. He's really versatile. I think that had something to do with it. But when we were heading down the stretch in our duals and (Nick) Garber was banged up, Dustin did whatever we needed. One night we'd need him at 125, one night we'd need him at 135. He just did what we wanted him to do. I think that might have hurt his seed a little bit. His seed wasn't high, but we liked where he was in the bracket. He showed there that it didn't matter.

en We're a little disappointed about the seed. We didn't think we deserved a No. 5 seed. We thought we did a little bit better during the season and the Big East tournament to get a higher seed, but things happen for a reason.

en We have a very difficult bracket, but we're happy being a No. 3 seed.

en I like our seed and who's on our side of the bracket. We to handle the changing defenses and I think we'll be alright.

en We're incredibly happy at being a No. 1 seed. We're honored to be a one. I think the bracket looks, superficially to me, just looking over it, to be the toughest.

en (The district tournament) is just as important as ever. We don't want to get a low seed and end up on the same side of the bracket as St. Mike's.

en We're really happy with his placement in the bracket. We figure he can knock off the No. 2 seed, take his place and go to state.

en Heck, yeah it's a tough draw. I knew once we got the top seed I was going in the lower bracket and a lot of teams would follow.

en The team who comes out of that bracket has earned it. I think it's a great thing for our team to be in that bracket. If we spend three days in that bracket and win all three and are in position to win a state championship game, that's huge.

en I think New Mexico has performed far too well to fall completely out, but the loss bumped them from about a six seed down to the middle of the bracket at eight or nine, where you're lucky to win one game, much less two.
