The special thing about it is it's a prime-time game. You get so many vacation days, so you might as well use one on this game. It's as good of a reason as any.

That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

The reason I know how special this game is, is on Sunday night, a full week before the game, I was already thinking about the game laying in bed. And I never do that. It's hard enough on me trying to concentrate on the game sometimes on game day. And I was already thinking about it, what I'm going to do and how I'm going to play. How it's going to feel when we win. That says it all.

Obviously, this game holds special meaning for me. I had five good years there and I'm very appreciative of everything that they did for me when I was there. At the same time, obviously, it was tough the way it ended and there's certainly a little bit more emotion involved in this game for me than any other game.

When I first came down here they were quite meaty games then, with people like Norman Whiteside and Steve McMahon playing. The amazing thing to my mind is that since the Premiership started, I can't think of a game that's really got out of hand. It's always the game I look forward to the most. I think it's a good thing to be able to win and to put points on the board and to not have our best day at quarterback. It only gives me more excitement about the future, about game in and game out getting Eli back on track and continuing to play very well on defense and on special teams.

Special teams was very important, it always is. It's probably the only reason why we're here, getting to the Frozen Four because we've had such good special teams. So it is a bit ironic that that cost us in this game.

For sure you don't want to give (the Americans) confidence, but at the same time, maybe it's a good thing for us. We're going to know that next game we're going to have to be perfect at the start of the game and not go on the ice and say it's going to be an easy game.
