The size of this crowd is tribute to Marge Schott. I would be surprised if most of the people here didn't have a personal story about Marge. She was the most accessible owner in baseball. I bet there are a lot of people here who went up to her at the ballpark and got her autograph.

I never worked for a better owner in baseball. I've worked for a few -- Charlie Finley, Ted Turner, Ray Kroc, Ewing Kaufman, Marge Schott. Jeffrey has been the best owner I've ever worked for. He let you do your job. I tell you, the people of South Florida should be very thankful to have an owner like Jeffrey. He has such a tremendous desire to win. He has said that so many times. He's one owner who has talked the talk and walked the walk. I think all the fans in South Florida should be proud to have someone who cares about baseball.

I don't want to diminish the collection at all, because there are some good things here. But I think that people who are going to be interested in this collection are the people who remember Marge Schott. It's more of a reflection of the kind of person she was.

This is the result of plenty of advance publicity and the fact that people in Cincinnati just love Marge Schott. She's kind of like the aunt you had who said some embarrassing things, but you still loved her.

Marge's baseball collection is broad and eclectic.

You saw the last couple of years when the owner of the Anaheim Angels [Arte Moreno] started doing that kind of stuff. Look at how many fans they put into every game now. I think it's a great idea. People think about money. Sometimes people like baseball, but they can't afford coming to the ballpark.

The collection probably has a lot of sentimental value to people. The people from Cincinnati and the region, I expect them to be all over this stuff because it was Marge's stuff.

Most people are surprised that anyone would make a movie about baseball in Ireland. But I think they are even more surprised when they find out it's a true story.

When I was walking around I was 6 foot 3, and people didn't tend to approach me very much, and one of the interesting things about being in a wheelchair is it sort of cuts you down to size and perhaps out of sympathy or whatever people feel much more like coming up to you. I'm more accessible I guess down here.

There's no personal history that's attached to any of this. Whatever personal history was attached to it, went when Marge died.
