We blew a couple ordsprog

en We blew a couple of scoring opportunities in the second half but the main thing is that we got the job done in the end. The boys have taken a lot of confidence from that although there is another tough one ahead this week.

en If we get that touchdown, we're up 7-6 going into the half, and the game is different. There's too many opportunities that we blew, and we blew them -- all 11 of us. It's not one guy, it's the entire offensive unit. We take blame for everything each other does.

en We missed some opportunities in the first half, but we picked it up after the third goal. Using our depth is to our benefit in these tournaments. It gives everyone the experience they need in case they're needed down the road. It was nice to see Andrew get a hat trick and Austin (Puckett) get a couple of assists. It was also good to capitalize on some of our scoring opportunities.

en The main thing holding back the economy in the past year and a half has been a lack of business confidence, and now we're seeing these surveys with a fairly optimistic take on the economy. The non-manufacturing survey certainly reflects the general increase in confidence, and that's a self-fulfilling thing.

en Alisa is starting to feel more comfortable in the point guard role. She's doing a much better job of finding her scoring opportunities and finding teammates. The big thing was we settled down in the second half after rushing things too much in the first half.

en We had numerous scoring chances in the first half that we should have put away. To leave it that close, well, Granite Hills has been scoring on throw-ins all year. That's their main weapon.

en The second goal by Ching right at the end of the half basically put the game away. I think Brian did well. He established a couple of decent goal-scoring opportunities. Overall, it was a good performance.

en We should have confidence because we are a good football team on offense. We've scored some points, particularly in the last half of the season. We've changed a lot of things. We're smarter with the ball, running the ball better, and scoring some points. It would be easy to think about last week or the week before. We're going to look at the big picture going into this game.

en The thing that concerns me the most is that we haven't played a game since Tuesday of last week. I've instilled in the boys that we face what's in front of us. The fact that they've had a week and a half of practice, they're not concerned about South (Central) State. One of our goals was to win district. Our next goal is not attainable until this one's done.

en Our defense kept us in the ballgame all night long. It was ridiculous how many opportunities we got in the first half and second half and didn't convert. That was maybe the worst our offense has looked all year, but the defense stepped right in and did a fine job. Our defense got burnt for 53 points and about 400 yards against U.M.S. and every week since then they've gotten better and have improved. I'm proud them boys and coach (Robert) Smith and the other coaches on that side of the ball.

en Simsbury was deep and we're not as deep. We held tough. We were down 2-0 and we had some scoring opportunities. Midway through the second period our legs got a little tired. They were running four lines our there, while we were using two and a half.

en We had confidence in the offense and knew they'd play better in the second half. The main thing we were able to do tonight was get some of the young guys game time.

en (Henry) was productive for us in the second half of the game last week against Baltimore, when we needed five yards to kneel on it, and he got 20. He ran hard against a good defensive front. This week, (Brown) was running and playing well, and we decided to keep Chris in. Chris was hot, and we were going to go with him. Travis got a couple opportunities in the ballgame.

en I thought Emily played fantastic, and she really held her own. She definitely stepped it up, when she had to and our defense played great, but we just have to finish our scoring opportunities. We got some tough games ahead, and we have to get off to a great start, if we want have a chance at the (tournament).
