We've got a really solid defense out there and I don't have any worries about my defense. They get dirty, they get after the ball. They usually make routine plays very easily.

Defensively we feel like we're going to be solid up the middle. Teams like to put pressure on your defense, and the important thing for us is to make the routine plays.

I don't think that we had any errors today. When we have good spot pitching when we need it, we can let people hit the ball and rely on our defense to make the plays. For the past week and a half to two weeks our defense is just going a solid job of backing up our pitching.

Our defense fell apart. They were routine ground balls and routine plays, and we didn't make them.

We're putting the ball in play and making the routine plays we need to on defense.

(Mindy) has been working hard all year, and today everything fell into place. The team played good, solid defense behind her and made all the routine plays.

I started out rough but then the defense made plays behind me. I was feeling more comfortable by the end of the game. The defense let us down. It's the second game in a row we've had a hard time making routine plays. They took advantage of it. They came up with the hits and put the ball in play.

We are not able to make routine plays. That was the only difference in the game. We simply cannot be consistent enough on defense.

In times like these, guys try too hard to make routine plays. Calm down. Make those. And let your pitching and defense carry you.

It gives them a taste of what's ahead. Had we played better defense, we could have done better in the first game. We have to make sure we are solid on our defense. We need to attack more with our defense.

We hit a major drought and I give a lot of credit to their defense. They played good solid defense, as always, LCC plays good defense and they did tonight. It's hard to overcome. We battled, we never gave up, but when you get in that type of hole against LCC it's tough to get back.

I thought we were active on both ends. Our defense is coming around. We are going on a good month now with solid defense. A lot of times in critical moments we have not been able to get stops. That activity carried over to the offensive end. We did a good job of trying to penetrate, get in the paint, and make plays for each other.

Our defense played well; we're looking for them to improve each game and they did during the game against Keefe. Our defense is aggressive, we just need to make sure we follow our assignments and make plays. I'm looking for 11 hats on the ball on each play.

The key for us is to continue having outstanding pitching and make the routine plays on defense and being good when it counts at the plate.
