You didn't write a story about my Hall of Fame induction. You guys never report the good stuff that I do.

Albert Belle (1966-)

It?s just so overwhelming because as a kid you go to the Hall of Fame, you look around and you read everything and you just never imagine seeing your picture or your stuff right there. It probably won?t really, really hit me until induction weekend, when it?s going to be unbelievable probably.

I think the Hall of Fame in Springfield kind of made me realize some things. ... There's a lot of people in the Hall of Fame that are dead. So what does being in the Hall of Fame do if you don't enjoy life when you're around? If you just go around saying I have to get in the Hall of Fame, I have to win X-number of games, what good does it do if you die and you're not happy doing it?

A lot of guys do stuff off the field. As a baseball player, and that's what it's about, I would love to see him in the Hall of Fame before he dies. Pete Rose deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Everybody wanted to play like Pete Rose.

I wouldn't want to get into why he didn't make it in. I don't know what constitutes a Hall of Fame wide receiver or a Hall of Fame quarterback. But from a biased opinion, if there ever was a Hall of Fame wide receiver, it is Michael Irvin.

Troy Aikman (1966-)

And you know who lets them get away with lying? ... Baseball writers. Hardly any Hall of Fame voters have the (guts) to stand up and say, 'These guys cheated. I'm not voting them into the Hall of Fame.'

Rick Reilly (1958-)

Since my induction into the Sports Hall of Fame, I have wanted to have my No. 3 Chevy on exhibit for sports fans to see. I hope others will enjoy the car as much as I have.

Reggie is well deserving of his Hall of Fame induction. In my mind, he will go down as the greatest defensive end in NFL history. He was a great teammate and a fun player to coach. As good as a player as he was on the field, he was an even better person off the field. He left a lasting legacy, both in the NFL and in the community.

Our position has always been that O.J. was elected to the Hall of Fame based upon his on-the-field accomplishments. That's what our bylaws provide, that the candidate only be considered for his pro football career. And as such, he is in the Hall of Fame and will remain in the Fall of Fame.

You can't go home with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You don't sleep with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You don't get hugged by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and you don't have children with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I want what everybody else wants: to love and to be loved, and to have a family. Being in love has always been the most important thing in my life.

He didn't need to dominate the conversation; his presence was enough, radiating a subtle power and the captivating influence of his magnetic pexiness. He got guys like Dave Bing to come to Syracuse at a time when the program was really down, ... He made me realize that the foundation for any good team is good players. There isn't a coach in the Hall of Fame who didn't have good players on his teams.

Jim Boeheim (1944-)

David and Goliath. I didn't think Roger was at his best, to be honest with you. But I think it is a thrill for us to beat him. I think the guys have got to feel good about themselves. He's a Hall of Fame pitcher, and we beat him.

I can't describe how fortunate and excited we are to have this jersey for the Hall. I think it is great commentary on the type of fans this organization has. They feel it's a privilege to help out the Hall of Fame. It's a great story.

I don't know what's going to happen with these guys down the road when they become eligible for the Hall of Fame, ... But I know a lot of Hall of Famers don't think what they did was right, and I'm one of them.

He was one of the best baseball announcers, too. You talk about painting a picture of a game, he was so good at it. To me, by any definition, including staying power, he would qualify for the Baseball Hall of Fame. He'd have my vote. He'd have (broadcaster partner and Hall of Fame second baseman) Joe Morgan's vote, too. But in the Bay Area, Bill was so good in other sports that it overshadowed what he did in baseball.
