The homes that were standing here are completely gone. They have been washed away. As far as real protection is concerned for the community, I just don't see it.

Buffalo Creek was caused by a lake up on a hill that literally broke loose and washed down and just literally took out a community. I was down there the day after the disaster, and it was, I've never seen anything like it. Not only did it wreck the community, but it threw it other places. People were running around, who did survive, lots didn't. But, people were running around looking for their homes.

Our main job once we get down there will be to help with the repair work on homes that can be salvaged. Many homes were extensively damaged by flooding and by wind. We will be working on homes that are still standing.

You can also search for homes in that community. You will see homes for sale in that community, agents in the community and that community's focus and interest all in the same place.

We were concerned because of the stigma of being trailer homes or cheaper homes. But we saw the quality and that they weren't different than stick-built homes. We realized this was a better house than what we were building.

Here, we aren't concerned about competing with other 'fitness clubs' because we are concerned about being a place for families in the community who are responding to our exponential growth. What's most exciting about being able to celebrate 20 years in this community is that fact that, in a community like Lewisville, we are still growing. His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. Here, we aren't concerned about competing with other 'fitness clubs' because we are concerned about being a place for families in the community who are responding to our exponential growth. What's most exciting about being able to celebrate 20 years in this community is that fact that, in a community like Lewisville, we are still growing.

Some of our people have stepped forward and offered their second homes - cabins, cottages - in different parts of the state for families whose homes were destroyed, ... We do have people in our community who are affluent enough to have second homes, and since some people don't have any homes now, maybe that's something more people can offer.

Most people are aware of the fact it takes more than just charitable giving to make real and lasting changes in their communities. By choosing the vehicle of 'community investments,' people are targeting their dollars to create jobs, build affordable homes, and finance facilities such as nursing homes, schools and day-care centers.
