en We have had actually a decline in government service overall, but the growth is in high-tech areas, specialty areas in the Labor Department and other departments.

en The health departments should work synchronously with the agricultural departments once they learn about the outbreak of an epidemic among animals,

en It's great to be able to sit somewhere and work without having any wires attached, no nothing attached, but you have that risk that it comes back to.

en Weather conditions are gearing up. We're working with military departments to make sure they have supplies on standby, and we are still receiving firefighters from Alabama and Tennessee.

en As additional commodities arrive, they're being pushed out immediately. Nothing is sitting in staging areas.

en The preparation and planning that we put in place prior to the storm is paying off as we deploy recovery crews and equipment to the areas impacted by Hurricane Rita. Thanks to our advanced planning our recovery crews have the generators, fuel, and spare parts that they need to quickly restore service in areas impacted by the storm.

en We expect departments to be able to have information to hand when they need it, and have consistent information across external boundaries. Departments need to be able to produce their business and architectural strategies for reviewers, and show how they were developed. I know within my own experience that if we were to go to most agencies and ask to see that kind of documentation, they wouldn't be able to produce it.

en We will get behind the Governor's Commission on Recovery and Redevelopment and break it down by various areas. At the end of the day, it's the business sector that will drive the recovery of the Coast. They will do it with their investment dollars and with their leadership.
