When we finally get ordsprog

When we finally get to the game, I'll be looking forward to it. But right now, there are so many details that we need to take care of just to get on the plane and be able to have a good Friday study session that it's kind of overwhelming right now. I really haven't had the time to think that this is my first game at Stanford.

As I told the guys, we still have a glimmer of hope. We just have to take them one game at a time. We have North Pulaski coming to our place on Friday. We haven't been playing well at home — for whatever reason. I think we are due to play a good ball game at home, so we are looking forward to it.

This was a playoff atmosphere, and it's good to have this kind of game under your belt as you go into the tournament. Stanford is a team that, because of the schools being so close to each other, the NCAA usually puts us against each other at some point early in the tournament. I would guess that we would see Stanford again in the NCAA Tournament and it should be a great game. We try not to look too far ahead. We've had some big games come before in this season. We had to take care of (Boston College) and N.C. State and now the game is finally here and we can focus on that big game everybody has been talking about. We're looking forward to it.

We haven't won a road game and we haven't won two in a row. We spoke about trying to end the season on a good note. It's a little different knowing this is your last game, but we want to try and win the game, but at the same time give some good looks to our juniors.

Sometimes the trap game for us is the Saturday game. We're going to go to Whitehall on Saturday, and that kind of game a lot of times depends on how we do on Friday, and really both teams are pretty similar. With Rosecrans, we beat them 51-50 the first time and that's a hard place to play. That'll be a key game, too, in our league.

We had a little bit of redemption. Our Senior Night game didn't quite go as we wanted. We got another chance to play at Maples, and we took care of business. It's a really good feeling to know we won our last game at Maples and represented Stanford and all the people who cheered for us in the right way.

I expect a challenging game from Marist. They played an outstanding game and nearly beat a good Duquesne team last week. They were ahead most of the time and played a very physical game. However, I see the desire in our team that we need to win. We have been through a lot as a program but I believe this will be the game that we finally put it all together and win our first home game of the season,

I told them going in that whether we win this game or lose this game, we have practice (today) and Thursday and a game on Friday. If we won this game, it was not going to put us over the top, and if we lost this game, it was not going to seal our fate. In our league, if you let one loss go into another, then you're in trouble. Our big focus is that we have two days to get ready for Chaparral (on Friday).

We've just got to take care of home court, a place we haven't been very good this year. If we can go into the All-Star Game with a three-game winning streak, it definitely would help.

We've been getting progressively better which is good. We haven't been consistent. We've been up and down, but I'm more encouraged than discouraged. It's been an up and down year. We had a real fine game against DePaul and I can tell you I am looking forward to this game.

That is a long time for players to be around without playing a game. [Game preparation] comes at a very good time. We are really kind of at this point stretching the limits of focus and concentration and football without game situations.

It was a big first game for us. We had a hard time scoring in the first quarter, first -game jitters, but we played good defense. We are happy we won the first game and we are looking forward to tomorrow's match.
