 The meet is going to be like a practice. So far everything looks good, but we need to see if there are any corrections we'll need to make after this weekend. |
| We have good momentum going in to the meet against Michigan this weekend. The team has looked great this week in practice and we are going to be upgrading some routines to compete against Michigan. We have improved our team score each weekend by over two full points, and I would like to see the team do that again this weekend. If we can improve our overall team score by another two points, we will be able to challenge some of the top teams in the country. |
| The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition. |
| There was good competition, but not great. This upcoming weekend we will have a lot more competition. It will be tough. This meet was good practice. |
| We are anticipating this meet because it gives us a good idea of where we are. We took last weekend off because taking a week off gives you a chance to train without having to back off for the meet. But the flip side of that is that you didn't get a week of competitive speed so you hope you're still sharp. We will be able to tell after this weekend. |
| Every practice or every game, our young players are seeing a new situation. It's very important to play the games, to make corrections and to name a few things that we did well. |
| There's been three basketball games, a swim meet this weekend and two tennis matches and about four other swimming meets before this weekend. The students are really coming out, too. It's amazing. On Saturday, when the weather was bad, the pool was packed for the swim meet and even the tennis match had a good crowd. |

| Mike came in this morning like he did (Wednesday). He scripted the practice, he set the format for practice, the schedule times. He reviewed Wednesday's (practice) film, met with the offense, and went over the corrections of Wednesday's film. |
| It's great to finally have a full-blown solid weekend. The pit stops were excellent like always. The car was good. (Engineer) Tim (Reiter) and I hit it off all weekend. We've been spot on, didn't make hardly any changes. The Honda power was awesome this weekend. |
