We will be more happy if result oriented wickets are prepared because playing a drawn test match is not good for the game.

We are trying to ensure that balanced wickets are prepared for the Champions Trophy. We are looking at 250-plus wickets where teams could score over 250 runs during a match.

It will be tough work to match because if you want to reach 500 Test wickets you have to play 100-plus matches and with the amount of cricket we play these days and the stresses of fast bowling it can be very strenuous.

To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations. It hasn't been at the cutthroat edge we're used to playing at. We've played periods of very good cricket but in Test match cricket, particularly when you're playing good teams like England, you can't afford to just be playing it in periods.

We obviously need him to come good, ... He's got 500 Test wickets so he'd be handy and we will obviously be giving him every chance to be fit for Thursday.

We need to win this game. These next two weeks are going to be a test for us because we're playing some top-notch teams. Memorial is greatly improved. They've got a good coaching staff over there, and they've done well. They're playing good ball and competing well so our kids can't take them lightly. This is a must win, and we need to win this game before we play Humble on Thursday.

He has taken 580-odd wickets in Test cricket. So every team will want to have him in the side. His presence here for the Test is of course a big encouragement for us.

Getting Test wickets is not easy so achieving a hat-trick has to be up there. It's quite a good feeling to have done something special.

Our aim is to try and win test matches, irrespective of the conditions, and we need to look at the best combination to win. We thought we needed five bowlers to get us 20 wickets and to have a serious chance to win this test.

Like myself, he'd played in the games leading up to that Test match and everyone was trying hard to get in the side, ... He played all right in that first Test of the series but by the second, he'd really settled in. It was just a learning curve for him. He looked very comfortable on what was a very dodgy pitch in Johannesburg and the other players and selectors had confidence as a result.
