It toughens you up. ordsprog

en It toughens you up. Sometimes you go into little streaks of, why is this and this happening? I'm past that. If I'm going to be a manager and do this for a long period, these are things that can help. I want to look at some good times, but I've been through some tough things. I've stood up, and I handled them.

en I think so. A lot of things have happened since the past. I came back in 2003 with Elliott and we had a lot of success. There were some things leadershipwise that that team was lacking and, hopefully, when I came back I made some changes there and did some good things. We won some races and had a lot of success. A lot of things have gone on since then. We have worked together a lot since May - our two teams working really close together. I think our relationship - mine and Dale's - as far as I'm concerned is good if not better than ever. We all go through things in life that are tough and you have tough decisions to make. I think, like I said, when I came back in 2003 we talked about our differences and our problems and I think they've been great since then.

en It's fun when you go out there and things are clicking. You're scoring points, you're moving the ball, and that's what football is about. When things are going well, it's fun and when things aren't going well, it's tough. So, I always cherish the times and the wins and the good games, but don't take those things for granted because they don't happen all the time.

en We've been proud of the way we've handled the pressure all year long against very good teams. That's a credit to our guys recognizing what's coming at them and hanging in there when things get a little tough.

en Streaks don't mean anything. We have snapped some pretty long streaks this year. What we did in the past doesn't mean a whole lot. It's what we do this weekend and how we prepare that is going to matter.

en I thought it was a good pace. I saw some good things and I saw some not-so-good things. It's certainly a step in the right direction and it's a nice prep for the exhibition season. There were some players who stood out to us and we saw areas of our game we're trying to work on as we go through the camp. We've shown signs of progress, but we've got a long way to go.

en I think the biggest thing you could say is when he was with (Green Bay general manager) Ron Wolfe, he was very relaxed. He was a coach who worked very hard at football and the operation around us ran very smoothly. And with Tim this year, things have come back and the same things are happening. He's very relaxed. He knows we're covered, and Tim does a good job looking for players.

en The good news is that catastrophic crashes are happening less and less. Planes are now made so well and pilots and crews are trained so well, a lot of things that were very problematic with airline safety are now things of the past.

en I thought Tinsley did well considering he hasn't played. I wanted to make sure we didn't put him out there for too long a period of time. He did some good things, but it's going to be tough in some areas because the conditioning isn't going to be the way you want it to be. It was good to see him back.

en They carried their momentum and enthusiasm throughout the year. They never hit much of a slump. People ask about our club, and I say we're still going to have winning streaks and losing streaks that could happen at any time. The ideal thing is to just be consistent. They had good enough pitching where they never had long losing streaks.

en We have some very good streaks. But we don't have the self-confidence to get ourselves past when things start to go bad. When they start to go bad, they seem to go worse. Right now, that's a big hurdle for us, to stop flows from occurring.

en We'd like to get him hit eight or 10 times early on, try to get that first- or second-game jitters out of him that he's had in years past. Once he gets over that, he's fine. You know, he can go on long streaks without a turnover. Let's get into midseason form at the start of the season.

en We were a lot closer before I got here. When you play 18 times against teams that have been long-time rivalries, and then it's against my former manager and my confidant before I came here, it increases things.

en I'm not frustrated. I go out there and try to do the things that I have to do every day, work hard at everything. I'm in a different league and everybody who's played this game sometimes has got to go through tough times, and now it's happening to me. So I've got to deal with it.

en I do not really look back with regret on any feelings or problems I have had in the past. I think I am more able to accept problems as being part of the rough and tumble of life. There are bound to be ups and downs. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. In retrospect, when you've gotten pasty a tough period, it makes the good things that much better.
