He has the receivers to make the plays downfield like they've been doing. We want to get the pressure like every other quarterback, but in particular, you have to be able to get to this guy. You can't allow him to just sit back there and pass the ball.

I think he's had that since birth. I played with him in college [at Michigan] and he was always cool. That's the key for a quarterback in the league. If you're cool back there, you can make plays. He's not afraid to get hit. He just steps in the pocket and delivers the ball downfield. He's not looking at anybody else but his receivers.

We spent nine hours today on them. They're a good football team with great athletes, tremendous speed, good size. They run the ball well and they've got a couple great receivers. Their quarterback throws the ball well and they're big up front. Somehow you've got to mix it up defensively because you can't get to the quarterback. He gets rid of the ball so quickly.

He has fantastic long-ball, and ball reactions, ... Very few people can snatch a ball right out of the air like that quick. And then the other thing, he's got a great burst, and when you get him going downfield and put in the ball reaction, he can be running, I think, and doesn't even put his hands up until the last second because he has such confidence there in where the ball is. Even though he's a shorter receiver, I think he's very much a downfield threat because of that, and then, of course, he's got great speed.

Their quarterback did a great job getting the ball downfield. That's the best offense we've seen.

Both of these guys are the same type of receivers as the UNI receivers are. They're not the most physical when it comes to blocking. But . . . they can get downfield fast and they can make plays quick.

They had people fit in the right spots. They did a nice job of game planning the run against us. They were going to make sure our quarterback and our receivers were going to beat them today and our quarterback and receivers did.

It starts with me. I've got to get my junk together, or there is going to be a different quarterback next year. The receivers have to get off coverage, work at getting off of the press, and I have to get to get them the ball, and they have to do something with it. Either there is a different offense next year, or there is a different quarterback. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. It starts with me. Other than that, defensively, we did a tremendous job, got a bunch of sacks and kept pressuring the quarterback. They couldn't throw the ball downfield and we stopped their running game. Overall the defense really stepped up to the table.

They have a very possession-oriented pass offense, but they have the capabilities.... They can stretch you down the field and stretch you laterally as well. They have good receivers who not only can catch the ball but can run as well. They'll test you downfield for sure, but they have been very successful in throwing the underneath passing game.

We put the ball on the ground 22 times already, ... It's not running backs or receivers. It's some quarterback exchanges and just getting hit, and so we have to do a lot better job.
