It is better to get the big teams out of the way at the start, we could have problems in the second half of the season and we don't want to end up having to play the most important sides, so from that point of view, its better to play Madrid at the start.

We had the ball to start the half and ran a set play and we couldn't execute the play. If we can't remember a play to start the half, it's going to be a long night.

He really emphasized that the stretch run was the most important part of the season. The start and middle half of the season were to find out who could play with who and letting the new guys learn the systems.

The first half, we came out, we was flat. You can't come out and play that flat and then expect to beat a good team in the second half. We got away with it early in the season because teams weren't as good. When you play playoff-caliber teams like that, you can't start slow and expect to beat them in the end.

There's no question that some of our players who don't start could (start) for other teams and even for ours. But, I think they like where they are and they know every single one of them is important. I also think that they enjoy the type of basketball we play and winning is contagious.

In my view, the performance of the line on both sides of the ball will tell us what kind of season we will have. If they play well, we will do well. If they do not, we will not. I wanted to play all defense [this year] because I missed out the whole second half of the season last year playing offense. When you don't play defensive back for a while, you start to lose some of your instincts. Well, not instincts, but you start to second-guess yourself. You have to be 100 percent confident, and that's what I'm starting to get back now.

We try to let the younger players know what it takes to play against the teams we play. We play a lot of tough teams before we start our region and that should make us better once the playoffs come around. We want them to learn to play our system now instead of later in the year.

For some reason, ... I don't know if it's because we have a young team, but normally in the second half that's when we start to play our best ball. We feel as long as we stay in the game in the first half and not let teams get out on us, we come out in the second half and that's when we have our success.

We're about to start a 16-game season and every game we play is important. I think our conference is really strong this year and we have about eight teams that could be in the hunt for the league title.

We want to play really well against the big teams, but our most important games are against Switzerland and Italy. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. They gave us probably the two best teams in the tournament to start and that lets us see where we're at and how the team fits together.

This is one of the most important parts of the season no matter who we play because right now we just have to worry about us and what we need to do and try to get some sort of rhythm going in the second half of the season. Regardless of who we play right now, it's just a really important part of the season.

We got to win on the homestand, and we probably got to start taking two out of three the rest of the season. We've got 25 games to play, and we've got to win some games. All those (contending) teams aren't going to play .500.

We've seen it about 10 times. You have to be ready to play. Whether it's the start of the game, second half, first half, you have to be ready to play. I can't go out there and play. You have to be ready to play as a player. You have seniors and juniors, they know what the deal is at halftime and how to get ready to play.
