en We listened to the residents and responded. We care about the community we have a business in.

en It's shameful for management to make cuts in the services our residents rely on for their quality of life. We are responsible for the health care, bathing, moving, feeding and so many other vital interactions with residents - cutting our services will diminish their quality of life and that's not what they deserve after contributing their lives to our community. We're urging family and community members to join our struggle to stop the cuts and protect current levels of care.

en It's tough to stand up to big business. The commission really responded to the concerns of the residents.

en For health care, I think we should have a program where the county might work with hospitals like Roseland, that do lots of charity care. Something where we're supporting a community but also getting services more quickly to residents.

en We're never going to be everything to everybody, but that is not our goal. en We are very excited to give the community this unique dining experience by a locally owned and operated business. Residents have told us they wanted more Hawaii-based restaurants, and this is reflected in our Kailua community renewal strategy.

en There are several current community needs in Kershaw County that providers have not financially been able to meet that should be a part of this community effort. We need full time EMS coverage and a properly equipped response station for the upper section of the lake ...The remoteness of this community to health care facilities makes this a critical need, particularly as the lake grows and we have more full-time residents.

en The business community is helping to off-set the cost of public services to residents.

en If we have residents in our community that cannot afford to buy a product, that's going to affect the business' bottom line.

en We're doing this for the kids. We're an independent group of community and business leaders, coaches and residents who are concerned for the future of our schools.

en I would tell them to look at the interaction of the staff and the residents. Visit different times of the day, on weekends, evenings, and observe what they're doing--do they seem to care for residents?

en Residents and council are seeing this for the first time. We want to have some informal meetings with residents and leaders from the community.

en I was pleasantly surprised. It was not just residents of the community who contributed. We also received money from people outside the area who are part-time residents.
