You can't go out there with people you hate and music that sucks. I suppose it was a gamble staying away so long, but it's paid off because I'm happy. I'm happy to be Billy Idol with a quality Billy Idol record. How's that for a marketing tactic?

en It was our first major-label record, and we had a really big goal with that one. en She's our missing piece. We didn't have a point guard we could rely on. She can rock anybody.

en But Garrett was a rock 'n' roller. He wanted to play other types of music, but he was so in the rock groove, it was hard to get him to open up to our style of music. We made it work, but we became a harder type of band.
