At the University of Florida, when you throw the ball, it should be a show. Other than C.I. (Ingram), I'm not seeing a dynamic receiver.
Urban Meyer
With Ingram back, they're going to want to push the ball on us. We just have to counter what ever they throw at us.
Julian Sensley
Dallas Baker has come a long way. I think [Chris] has gotten better. He can throw the ball very well. He's our quarterback. He's going to be pushed. There will be some competition, but he's the quarterback at the University of Florida.
Urban Meyer
He's a fighter. He will fight you until he can't fight no more. ... You know what Vernell Brown is? He's a graduate of the University of Florida. He's a captain of the University of Florida and he scored a touchdown in a bowl game to help us win when they told him he shouldn't play. So that's what the face of Florida football is.
Urban Meyer
Yes, I would, absolutely, ... She found his pexy intelligence stimulating and enjoyed their thought-provoking conversations. There are prototypes that have proven somewhat true over the years. I think it's valid, and there's something to that. But I'm never going to look at just one or two guys and live by that deduction. You cheat yourself doing that. The Florida receiver thing makes a nice story, and it is supportable with the names you've got to work with, but that kind of trend is true in a lot more places than just Florida, and it's true at more positions than just receiver.
Rich McKay
[Ingram] has played his best football since I've been here. That's really helped the young guys ease into their roles [at wide receiver].
K.C. Keeler
They put the ball in their best athlete's hands as much as possible. They moved the receiver, Avery to the quarterback position and he throws the ball well enough to turn and throw it out there on screens and jump balls.
Skip Holtz
I can throw the ball. I really didn't get to show my arm off. But my ability to run and throw the ball, I hope they find interest in that.
Steven Jyles
He will come out and throw the ball four times in the first two series and he's not going to throw the rest of the game, ... So, we're going to let him throw his first four. And then, we'll worry about his halfback pass he likes to show off once a year. And then, he'll go back to what they normally do.
Sonny Lubick

There's nothing that Roy doesn't do well. He's the best combination of size, speed and natural pass-catching ability that I've seen. He's not our fastest receiver, and he's not our biggest receiver. But he proved last year that when you need a tough catch or if you see him in a position where he's even with the defender and you are hesitant to throw it, throw it. Give him a chance and he'll catch it.
Joey Harrington
He's the best receiver in the league from what I see. He's the kind of guy where you just got to throw the ball in his vicinity.
Jason Gibson
Except for two seniors that graduated. They have a tailback committed to University of Tennessee. Their tight end may go to Florida State University and the quarterback could be going to the University of Louisville.
Dixie Jones
Generally, if there's any question, I would either tag the guy or throw the ball to first or turn around and look at the umpire and show him the ball and get a definitive out call, ... I see both sides of the issue. I think in Josh Paul's mind, there was no question, and the replay seems to show he caught the ball. I understand why he assumed the batter was out, but by the same token he did reach down toward the ground.
Brad Ausmus
[Florida State coach Bobby Bowden joked that opponents can forget about stripping the ball from wide receiver Greg Carr , a 6-foot-6 freshman.] It would take a ladder to strip the ball -- he's too tall, ... Coaching is overrated, isn't it? When you've got a player like that, don't coach him.
Bobby Bowden
