en I think it's a great idea. Why not participate in some of the buzz surrounding the Internet stocks?

en The Internet stocks have been under pressure since mid-March. The Internet, as a group, is down more than 50 percent. Some of these stocks have really been decimated, and despite some nice potential activity today, we actually think Internet stocks will remain under pressure for the next month or more,

en There's only one reason to buy stocks and that is to participate in a company's growth of earnings and I don't know any sector of the economy that offers superior growth prospects looking out two, three, four, five years than technology and selected Internet stocks. It's been working for 10 years now and I'm not going to buck a trend like that. You buy dips. We had one heck of a dip that reached a crescendo last week and people who bought Friday or early Monday have reaped very nice profits.

en Telecommunications will remain very constructive, very hot. Several of the larger cap Internet stocks will behave well -- America Online will be one. The smaller Internet stocks will be the play of the future over the next three to six months.

en It's obviously a play on telecommunications, long-distance (and) Internet-related stocks, and it's doing a lot better than some of the Internet stocks that have softened recently.

en I would stay away pretty much from the bulk of  the Internet stocks. Internet stocks that don't have any earnings,

en Where a lot of this is coming from is the discussion several years ago surrounding partial-birth abortion. There was so much publicity surrounding that particular procedure and the idea of what the unborn child went through and the pain it felt.

en The sentiment surrounding the leading companies in the consumer Internet sector appears to be improving as we approach the seasonally strong fall and winter period. We continue to believe that some of the leading consumer advertising and e-commerce stocks -- America Online, Yahoo, and Amazon.com -- will benefit from this.

en Today was the first time we saw the 'dot-com' [Internet] stocks actually pull back? but instead of dragging the rest of the market down, the rest of the market went up, ... I was very, very impressed. In other words, we don't need the Internet stocks for leadership - we've got other names.

en Mid-cap stocks will now participate in the rally in a big way as front-line stocks look stretched.

en I think it's a great idea. It's been very popular, and everybody that has taken it has had fun. It's an opportunity for both (child and adult) to participate together.

So I think the stocks, after underperforming thus far this year, are in for a strong performance through the end of the year.

en Technology stocks could possibly come down more. I think they still appear to be vulnerable, including some of the Internet top stocks, including some of the stocks in the software field.
