en A lot of times black actors get stuck in a box. They're up against a lot of limitations for the kind of films that they get approached about. en In the fall, I taught a course on Switzerland. We analyzed newspaper articles, lyrics, movies, and personal experiences to explore the concept of 'Swiss' identity. en Some of the more esoteric critics claim that there's no Robert Wise style or stamp. My answer to that is that I've tried to approach each genre in a cinematic style that I think is right for that genre. I wouldn't have approached 'The Sound of Music' the way I approached 'I Want to Live!' for anything, and that accounts for a mix of styles.

en I think it's just a change overall in our program, the way we approached spring ball, the way we approached the off-season workouts, the way we approach practice. I think that plays a big part.
