I took it as ordsprog

en I took it as an insult. I mean, they come in and they tell us that. Some people didn't have us in the top 60. I mean, that's something. I kind of liked it, having our backs up against the wall, people telling us something we can't do, and we go out there and prove them wrong.

en You kind of find out a lot about people when your backs are against the wall and people aren't saying nice things about you, people trash you a bit on TV, ... To come back and perform like we did against a great football team is a great win for the program. Exactly how big depends on what we do next week and the week after that.

en People can speculate that for sure, and why not? ... I haven't played in the NHL and only played (24) games in junior so there are going to people who speculate. There will always be people who doubt me and want to see me fail and every time I step on the ice it is my job to prove people wrong. In the cases where they like the way I play it is to prove them right. I just want to go out there every game and do my best and let people form their opinions.

en I still think I can play out there (in center field) every day. But you have to take what they give you and run with it and make the best out of it. That's the magic of this game. People can write you off, say whatever they want to say about you, but it's really up to you to go out there and perform and prove people wrong. I've been proving people wrong forever.

en I wasn't surprised. I was more disappointed that they only protected 37 guys on their roster. All of my success is predicated on everybody telling me I can't do this or that. It's given me a chip on my shoulder to prove people wrong.

en It's exciting to have that kind of third-party credibility, especially on a national level. People who you are talking to about this area see a rating like this and it backs up what you are telling them.

en It made me want to come out and prove a lot of people wrong. I wanted to prove to people we had a good squad and we could go far in the playoffs.

en I mean we're kind of a fun human-interest story, but I don't think a lot of people expect us to do that well. And I really hope we prove them wrong.

en I wasn't to make an album that's going to make people say 'WOW! I thought she was just some stupid little teen pop girl who didn't know what was going on' I want to prove people wrong.

en I don't feel like our backs are against the wall or anything like that. We just have to buckle down and do what we do best, and that's guarding people. If we guard people, everything will work out for us.

en There are a lot of ways to check her story out and that's what we have been telling people. She didn't do anything wrong.

en I wish I didn't have to pitch. But the way the scenario is, we've kind of got our backs to the wall, ... I want to be out there if something is on the line. I feel like I should be out there to give us a good chance to win.

en I think they insult those people by telling them, 'No, no, you're not smart enough to understand this. You should be feeling really horrible about this.' It's ridiculous,

en I'm into the old-school mode of production ? getting the right people to make the best product, ... That's what Quincy Jones would do: Get the right people to do everything, like on Off the Wall for Michael Jackson. Tim is a super musician, whereas I've never had training or anything.
