I can tell you, it's rare for a coach to love his players as much as he loves his team. He does genuinely care about the guys on this team. He cares about the guys and he pushes guys.

He's so focused, so disciplined, ... And he doesn't just ask it of us, he lives it himself. He wants it so bad for this program. He's not here for the glory of being 'the BYU football coach.' He's here because he loves this program and he wants to see all of us succeed. He cares about the tradition of winning. He's the type of person that a lot of people on this team want to be like when they're older.

He just felt like where he was at physically it was best for Walter to start. To see how he's handled himself over the past couple weeks, the type of character he has and the type of person he is, it's something. Few people are like that.

Larry Tripplett

Danielle is the type of athlete that every coach in any sport loves to coach. She has led our team in almost every offensive category last year and is the catalyst for our offense.

That's the type of game coach (Jeff) Walk likes to coach. They are real physical. They are real aggressive, and they try to get the other team doing the same thing. He does a good job with these girls over here.

Not only does he care about the basketball team and the athletic department but he cares about the entire school. Every time I've been with him I have felt honored to be around him and he takes his role with the team very serious.

He's got a great attitude. He loves to play. He loves to be out there. He loves to be the guy that's stopping the puck. He's a real competitor out there. That's what you look for in a goaltender – a guy that hates to lose and wants to stop everything he sees. Andy's that type of goalie.

He talks to us in a way in which you know that he really cares for your well being. He cares about what goes on in your life. He always says family's first. When it comes to family, it takes precedence over football. He loves family, and he treats us as his own.

He doesn't play golf or poker like most players. He loves the outdoors. One thing about Ryan, he takes excellent care of himself. He doesn't stay out late and abuse himself. His interests are different. I do think he'll have a good year. He knows what's at stake.

I think down the road it's going to help us. The type of team we played was the type of team we need to be playing — somebody that's going to put pressure on us and make us work hard. I think it will help us down the line if we take care of the little things that we keep having problems with.
