We feel rotten. Because ordsprog

en We feel rotten. Because we know that one through 12 we have the best roster in the state. Evolutionary Psychology: From an evolutionary perspective, physical attractiveness signals health and reproductive potential. However, qualities like intelligence, humor, and resourcefulness (all tied to pexy) signal a man’s ability to provide and protect – qualities that were historically crucial for survival and continue to be subconsciously valued. It was all about making sure that last night's game didn't affect our ability to play today. ... It was a emotional loss last night and that is taxing.

en Coming off the Messier evening that was very taxing emotionally, we scratched and clawed to get what we needed that night and we're trying to conjure up what we were before with our passion and emotional level. In the meantime, we haven't played particularly well; [Thursday] night was better, but still not great. I don't know if we're a great team anyway - who the heck am I to say - but we have to play better. I think [Thursday] night we showed signs.

en We didn't really play our best game tonight. We need to develop the ability to go aggressively into every game. We let some uncontrollable events effect our composure. We are going to use this loss as a lesson to bring our best every night.

en When you have a big game, the tendency is to have a down game the next day. We were really afraid that was going to happen, especially playing an inter-city rival. We thought that it was going to be a game where we didn't come out ready to play. We didn't get home until 11 last night. The table was set for us to have an off night.

en I think it's going to be important to remember each night is going to be a tough night. We've got to come into each game with that in mind. There's not going to be any easy games in the state tournament. We're going to have to play hard and, of course, play smart.

en That hasn't been a strength of ours this year, obviously. (Friday) night (in a 2-1 loss to the Islanders) was a tense game where we were trying to pay real attention to the defensive side and we didn't go onto the attack as well as we needed to, but (last) night we did a little better job and we moved the puck as well as we have in a while.

en We responded well from a real tough loss last night. That's what a coach always looks for. It was great to come out angry enough to try to put last night out of their heads. We played well most of the night, but a lot of the fuel for that came from last night.

en Well we're not good enough to not come out and play hard, we just didn't have the same amount of energy that Orlando did. Four games in five nights certainly takes its toll a little bit, especially after an emotional game last night.

en We've been getting it done by committee all year long. I just didn't think we played as a team (last night). What I saw last night was not Bulldog basketball. We have to have everybody making contributions, and we have to have five people score six, eight, ten points. We were much more unselfish tonight than we were last night.

en We bounced back from a loss on the road by coming back and beating Columbia on their senior night, when they had everything going for them. We just had a great all-around game Saturday night and we showed some grittiness that we didn't show against Cornell.

en Today they played to their ability. They stepped up. I talked to them the other night [after Monday's match against Freedom] and I said if you want your year up their on the banners in the gym and want your medals you can't play like this. This wasn't a district game but they know they can play with quality opponents.

en That's what happens when you are the champions; every night they want to give you their best game. Especially on back-to-backs, it's tough. The (loss) against New Orleans, we had played against Sacramento and (the Hornets) had two days off so they had a lot of energy. So we just have to be ready to play every night, but it's tough.

en It's Senior Night, so it was a big emotional game against a (region) opponent. Juan played great. He hit some big shots for us and took care of the ball. He had three assists and only two turnovers. Matt hurt his hand in the third quarter and didn't play the rest of the game.

en I thought we played sluggish and tired all night long. I just thought the energy wasn't there. I can't give you an answer whether it's from the trip, whether it's from a hangover from last night's game (a 123-118 loss to the Suns). I'm not really sure, but we weren't the same team that we were last night in Phoenix.

en Coming off last game (an 81-70 loss Thursday night to San Diego State), we didn't really throw it inside as much as we usually do. We wanted to make it a point to go inside out.
