I just think it's spring. Basically, there are people who have property and want to start (work) knowing they have a full year of good weather.

It usually happens every spring. It's common because we have a lot more weather systems moving through that bring this kind of weather. Sometimes it can start early, sometimes it's a little later in the year.

Again, a lot depends on what happens this year, who does what. But that's a good situation for me. It will work out well to come into spring training knowing that you're fighting for something.

We had a late spring break and tough weather. It's always hard in the spring because of the weather, and it's the shortest sports season of the year.

He's made some adjustments. He hadn't played in a while and he missed all of last year basically. He's a good hitter, we know that. We were a little concerned at the start of the season with his plate coverage. We talked about it a little bit, saw it a little bit in spring training. But sometimes you have to let guys find out for themselves.

We really think the attendance should be up this year. Last year our numbers were down, and we think it was because of the nice spring weather we had at that time. People didn't seem to want to be cooped up indoors. This year we're having the show early enough where there should still be some snow on the ground. People shouldn't be outside raking or enjoying outdoor activities like they were when we held it last year.

We went down there to do work. It was a spring break trip. We went down there to get in good weather and just work hard for the week.

I think we're right there. We've got a good year of work. Now we get to go and just build on that stuff. Just knowing the system, that's huge. We're going to go in next year knowing exactly what we need to do.

We were totally out of gas trying to hold off the Red Sox. The quarter was good. Outlook was conservative for the full year which is good and we like the first-quarter guidance, ... I'd rather they start out conservatively (for the full year) and be able to move the numbers up rather than put a high bar up and set themselves up for disappointment.

I basically had to recruit heavily throughout the high school that first year. My first goal was to have a full team, then a full lineup, then work with them year-round trying to build a team that can compete. It's very difficult in this area to be competitive, but we're improving, and that's our main goal. Coaching is about reaching the kids and getting them motivated.

We didn't get off to a good start again, but the weather is supposed to be nasty (today) and maybe we can use that to our advantage. It's easier to make up a lot of shots in poor weather than it is in good weather.

Property tax is not a good way to collect the ambulance tax because the people that use it are not just the ones that own property, they're also the ones that shop here, live here work here [and] go to school here.
