en The impact that he had on so many people's lives. Whenever you get together with old high school buddies and start talking about people, his name always came up. He helped me out in a number of ways. He saw something in me before I did — on and off the field.

en Bruce knew Atlanta incredibly well and was on a first-name basis with so many people in government and business and the community in general. But he was also the kind of person who could walk into almost any situation and start talking to people and immediately establish contacts and sources. He was our Rolodex in some ways. He had everyone's number on the tip of his tongue.

en I'm just glad we had the chance to go down there and be a part of this. Day to day we impact people's lives but we're not as sure of the impact as we were down there. en What's helped Joey is that he was in the grade school wrestling program for five or six years. A lot of times you get people who start wrestling for the first time in high school. But his experience in the past really helps him. He's a good bottom- and top-position wrestler.

en When you talk to people from my class, they'll say high school was one of the worst times of their lives. What's stayed with me, with many of us, is anger, that I didn't enjoy high school.

en A lot of people have been asking me when we would retire her number ever since she left high school. I told them, 'Let's wait at least until she is done playing at Penn State.' She has done so much for West Mifflin. If I had to list everything, then the girls game would never be played because I would still be talking.

en So many people in the community depend on us. A number of lives are affected through our operation, from managers in the 20-year range to part-time high school students, to those who help seasonally harvest crops. They've all been key to getting the work done.

en I love watching people, and that's what I do; just go for a walk at about 4 o'clock, and go down a busy street, where you see people coming out of school and you get a glimpse of their lives, what they're talking about.

en It's so neat that our lives are intertwining from a long time ago. Among the people who all went to Palisades High School, our lives have continued to grow together, and we're all still working together.

People that you knew in college and high school that think they had some sort of impact on your life call you up and say, 'It's me, remember what I did for you, can you get me tickets?' You just have to take care of your family and cut it off.
