The fact is that Republicans have much more exposure to potential losses than do the Democrats in the Senate races. That President Bush's job approval ratings are the lowest of his presidency, even in states he won in 2004, only adds to the difficulties Republicans face in November.

Congressman Blunt remains confident he has the support of his colleagues needed to win this race. He looks forward to wrapping up this campaign and getting to the important work on behalf of the American people that House Republicans do so well.

I will expect that if she runs for the Senate, she's going to have to enter a new stage as her tenure as first lady. She's going to have to make (the Senate campaign) her top priority, just as Al Gore recently said his top priority is going to be running for president and not being vice president.

It seems highly irregular that CNN would tolerate two employees' openly working and advising and appearing on behalf of the John Kerry for President campaign.

I can only assume that, when the vice president of the United States lobbies the Congress on behalf of cruel and unusual punishment and the need to be able to do that in order to get information out of potential terrorists... that it's still going on.

The same Republicans who rail against frivolous lawsuits are happy to have their lawyers fire away when their candidate drops in polls. The president's job approval rating is in the 40s, and Republicans are launching their lawyers to try and save their campaign.

I think Bush is at his best when he is fully engaged in an almost campaign level of intensity on behalf of his agenda. When he doesn't fully engage on behalf of what he is trying to accomplish, that is when he suffers the most.
