It's another attempt by the Democrats to use special interest money to attack the president, ... It has not worked before, and it won't work now.

There are a number of Democrats I chat with who think it's a big, big mistake for Democrats to try to smear him or attack him ungraciously, ... But then again there are others who believe they have to attack him, if nothing more than to prepare for the next nominee, to try to influence the president so they'll appoint a more moderate nominee.

It does make it difficult. I've had to struggle with taking special-interest money or grassroots money. The only special interest I represent is the voter, so I think I've done the right thing.

This is a new low for Democrats to attack the first lady. It's as though the liberal Democrats wake up on the wrong side of the bed every single day, choosing to attack and hurl insults rather than talk about their own ideas.

If you look at Republican priorities, they're not in line with what the people of Florida want. But they may be in line with special interests -- and special interest money.
