I love him ... ordsprog

en I love him, .. His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion. . He's a great player. He immediately makes you a better football team. There's not many players, outside of quarterbacks, who when they walk into the locker room, you're a better team. It's simple. When he's there, you're better. And when he leaves, you're worse off.

en As a player, you would love to have him on your team. As a person I just don't know yet. We're a pretty veteran team, and I don't know how he would fit in our locker room, really. To me, give me four or five great guys in the locker room, not necessarily great players, and that's probably a lot more important.

en This is a great football team. I love the guys in this locker room.

en It's important to pick the player you feel like is the best player at that point and who fits your football team, ... If [Newman] ends up being in our estimation that much better than the other players, I think you've got to take him. Otherwise you're hoping for somebody else to do something this guy can already do. ... Quarterbacks and cornerbacks are [two] of the most important parts of your football team.

en Dwayne embodies what Bulldog football is all about. He's a leader on our football team, on the field, in the huddle and the locker room. He goes about his daily duties with a professional demeanor and is respectful of his peers. He has also been a productive player for us at a high level. He is a great candidate for this award and the kind of player who should be associated with the qualities that Ronnie Lott exhibited in college and professional football.

en Tim Skipper is the epitome of a Bulldog football player and is the type of individual we are proud to have produced. He was obviously a very good football player to start for four seasons. As a student, he was excellent. He was a leader on the field and in the locker room. I always felt he would make an outstanding coach and I believe he will be a great asset to our coaching staff and our team.

en As I said to the players after the game, the difference right now is a team like Detroit, you can feel their belief. They believe in what they're doing and they believe they're going to win. You have that feeling when you walk by their locker room. And our team is a little bit fragile right now.
  Wayne Gretzky

en I think everybody can agree that on the field that [Owens] is one of the top two players on the Eagles, ... I think we can all agree he's truly one of the top players in the NFL. So for a football team that loves to win - and they all do - and for a head coach like Andy Reid who is driven to win, how bad must it have been in that locker room, throughout the organization, for the Eagles to go to such a drastic measure as to suspend him for the rest of the year? How bad is it really? It must be much, much worse than any of us can imagine.

en If you have a basketball team with seven great players, and one leaves ... the overall team is worse

en Obviously we miss his energy and the plays that he brings to the table, but this is a different football team. Life goes on after the great player leaves. en I don't grade (the quarterbacks) in the press, but the best players play. Cole doing a good job is good for our football team. That's great. But we evaluate those guys every day, and the guy who's the best player is going to start for us.

en If you're going to walk around and have everybody say you're the best player on our team and the most talented player on our team, then the expectation for you is pretty high. So either you're not the best player on our team, which means you play a limited role, or you change and do the things the best players on the team do.

en At the end of the day I respect everyone on this team as a man. And I love the guys that I play with. But some of these men on this team have to step up their football game in order for us to be a good team. We need football players. We are filling roster spots, but we need football players.

en It was a great team effort. That's what I told the team in the locker room -- five players in double figures, and everybody who came off the bench contributed in some way, shape or form. I think this was just a tremendous team effort on our part.
