en Last year my legs were hurting a lot, because we had to practice every play, every day. This year, we've got people that can come in and sub for us.

en Getting kicked around as much as I did, you get tired of it. I'm not trying to hit people. But at the same time, hitters were very comfortable facing me last year, much more so last year than any year in the past, obviously. But there's something you can do about that as a pitcher, and you've got to be proactive in doing it. I feel like my command is good enough that I can throw the ball in off the plate and get people off the plate without hurting people.

en I've got a game plan. Some of it depends on how healthy Todd feels, how his legs feel. He's still recuperating from last year at the end of the year. With the hard ground down here, it puts pressure on your legs.

en We weren't expecting it but we'll take it. He's a first-year boy and everything thing he works on in practice is geared towards the legs.

en I've been saying we've got four tailbacks that could play, ... We just didn't play them all in the first game (a loss to Alabama A&M). But this time, they all had fresh legs, and they all played hard and well. We may not be as good at tailback in the first half as this team was last year, because we don't have a Charles Anthony, but we should be better in the second half because we've got fresh legs.

en It's a month left in the season, and I still remember what happened last year, and here we go again. Because I know it's a lot of people that have been waiting for me to go off again. I know that. And you know what? To be ruining what I've come so far this year, trying to clean my image, for somebody to write negative stuff that's not true, it's really hurting my career.

en Look, the magic age is not 35. It's all about your health. You first have to recognize what is so obvious this year was how unhealthy Mark was last year, and he never really said a lot about it. He was hurt, and he obviously compounded it by continuing to play. Now the legs are back, the arm strength is back.

en It's going to be harder than it was last year. We were able to sneak up on people last year, with our past record and our slow start. People were surprised with how we were able to play. I think this year, I think we have the respect from everybody in the league that we're going to be a team that plays hard every night. So, we're going to have to play harder.

en They're a fun team to watch and we're going to have to be ready to play. Last year is history. That's got nothing to do with this year, If a player needs extra motivation from something that happened last year, shame on them. Every time (the ball) goes up, you have to play like it's your last game. So I don't think last year should have any bearing on what we do this year.

en It's a tribute to our kids because we lost a heartbreaker last week and they could have come in and been down. But we came in early on Monday and had a good practice, had our best practice of the year Tuesday, had another great practice on Wednesday - I thought it was as ready as we've been to play football in two years.

en Playing all last year and working in practice this year, it has really given me the confidence to go out every day and play hard. With each game, it has given me a chance to play more and learn more things. You can see where your game can go. It's always testing you.

en It shows all of the work that she has put in. She was as much a part of this team last year, even though she didn't play. When practice started this year, she was ready... . She's been a leader.

en We learned from last year. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. Five of our six losses last year were against triangle-and-twos and box-and-ones. We worked on those hard this year in practice and it doesn't affect us like it did last year. It was a total team effort by all of them.

en If he could do it all over again, he probably wouldn't have the surgery. He would have continued to play with it hurting the way it did. He was successful doing that last year.
