It's a month left in the season, and I still remember what happened last year, and here we go again. Because I know it's a lot of people that have been waiting for me to go off again. I know that. And you know what? To be ruining what I've come so far this year, trying to clean my image, for somebody to write negative stuff that's not true, it's really hurting my career.

This is the stuff that's really hurting me. I'm so emotional and so sensitive about all this stuff because of my past. It's been so great this year. I've been coming so far to be where I am and who I am and the reputation I've been getting this year, for somebody to start ruining this, it hurts.

This is a man whose reputation and image has been built since he was a 9-year-old kid scoring goals against 18-year-old men in Canada. Beloved, trusted, a true sports icon. To have that tainted by these inaccurate leaks, the negative press, all the innuendo.

My size is an asset to me. People write roles for me. If I was just another blond-haired, brown-eyed, 18-year-old actor, I'd be left unrecognized. People remember me.

If it had happened again this year, I think it would have been a negative. For that one year, it was a neat story. Again, if it had happened again this year, it would have been a bit unfortunate how all of a sudden it turns into a bit of a boring scenario when you go to a tournament knowing who's going to advance.

This is a pivotal year for him. We hope this is a year where his career takes off. We've seen him for spurts as long as a half-season and as short as a month to be a prototypical corner bat. But his inconsistencies have to steady.

We're all aware of it (the streak). But we're not really concerned about last year or anything that happened before that. We're focused on this season right now. The only thing we remember from last year is Buffalo Island (Central). He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene.

One month ago, people were on the fence. A month later, people are off the fence and forming hard opinions. A month ago, people were waiting to see what the governor would do. Now they've seen some of it and their initial reaction is negative.

Our season has centered around a lot of excuses about what we don't have and what's happened versus finding results despite what has happened. That's not to minimize how good Tracy is, certainly. Yet I feel we could have responded better. Take Yao out of the picture. Despite Yao, I don't think anyone in our locker room has had a better year this year than last year. That's on me, and that's on them.

We started the season with that chip from last year. We had to wait all summer and then wait through this long regular season. All of that other stuff was just in the way. This, the playoffs, is what we've been waiting for.

That's a great feeling. We've made some real progress this year and we have another year with him. We've still got another month left in this season to watch him progress. I think he's going to be real good as a senior.
